DirControl use special protocol (using only serial COM ports) to communicate with microcontroller which controll LCD.

Could you be so kind and advice?
My problem is:
I have MSI media live with Futaba DM-140GINK VFD display.
I would like to see more than time and date on it.
Have installed MP 1.1.0.0, Win XP SP3, everything else is working well, but not able to set up VFD.
If it is possible to exploit display for more info - simple question - how to do it?

What is the "DM-140GINK VFD display"?
If this is the display with controller KS0066 (HD44780 or similar), You can use microcontroller PIC16F887, PIC18F14K50 of Atmel to connect this display to COM or USB port of PC.

Hmm, it is misunderstanding.
My question is "software" oriented not "hardware" oriented.

Current version of DirControl need special hardware!
