At least some skins / themes are showing current weather on Home screen, like the "Titanium Extended" theme of BlueVision skin. I thought we had some news ticker available before, maybe only for testing?

Ah, yes we had it: Skinning guide: how to port a skin to MP2, or how "Titan" gets transformed.
This was "Titanium Skin", a standalone version, not the BV theme I mentioned above.
But the combination of News and Weather is not part of any current skin. The features are available though.

Hi, it looks like the Client's server connection settings got corrupted somehow and were reset, hopefully this is an easy fix.
Open MP2-Client, navigate to Settings->General->Connectivity->Home server.
In the menu on the left there may be an option Detach from home server, if there is click it and acknowledge the dialog that pops up...

I bought Fight Club from an op shop (Goodwill to you yanks) but my PC reads the DVD as a folder. Both media players wouldn't run it, so I tried running it in MP2. However, when I play it, MP2 crashes to desktop (I think the debug log said it was a "fatal exception" or something). Can anyone please help?

Well, currently the plugin shows the sun/moon times in user's local time. As you said, It would require to add time zone parameter to the profile. I'll try to add this option in the next version.
