Great to see some progress here! I used the artwork copier before but it doesn't work any more with my current MP DB. I will gladly test your program and could perhaps help with the code if you want to share it.

I tried a lot of other renamers found on the web, but none really satisfied me. The approach from the MP databases which already contain the required information is the most obvious and promising one.

i dont get that error any more for now, however i am getting "error processing files" every now and then, i can not do a complete run. i have to keep moving the file which is causing the conflict and make another run

Hi, i used your "App To copy Artwork" and it does exactly what i want too (except for the & bug where it doesn't make an nfo file). I hope you will update it because your Nexus program does not contain the same functionality (yet?).
For me it is important that the artwork and nfo file is placed in the directory with the movie.
Problems i have with the nexus program is i don't want to rename the filenames of the movies, make it optional.

I have 4 movie directories on 4 different harddrives. So far it looks like i have to run your program 4 times each with a different directory. Where as your previous program worked on all drives automatically.

Make <moviename>.nfo default option because the xbmc scaper in moving pictures only looks for that one and ignores the movie.nfo. So for reimporting your library you will need the <moviename>.nfo

Hi kyleh0000,

this application is really much appreciated. It's the missing link between Moving Pictures and a well organized file structure.

However, I seem to have two problems:

-I can't click on any checkbock below "image/info options" - no matter whether or not "rename files" and / or "Create Images/Info files" is checked. These checkboxes are always greyed out. I assume this is the reason that for me no image or info files are created, even if "Create Images/Info files" is checked.
-Your application doesn't seem to like grouped files for one movie (i.e., if one movie consists of two files like "movie - cd1" and "movie - cd2", which must be played one after the other and they are therefore grouped in Moving Pictures). A preview only tells me "Found X invalid entries in the DB!"

Finally, if I click on preview after NMM has just renamed all my files, it still tells me for every single file the old path and name and the (now identical) new path and name. This is a little bit irritating. I think it would be better, if the preview only shows movies, to which NMM will apply any kind of change.

Again, thanks a lot for this program. Please keep up the good work and let me know if I can do anything to improve NMM

Hi All,

just letting you know im back from holiday, but have about a week or so before i have to get back to work so im hoping to get a release of either this project or the Nexus Menu Editor. As for the things MJ Graf mentioned

-NMM wont handle grouped files at all and i dont intend to include this option at all, i would recommend that you join your avi files with VirtualDub it takes less than 5 mins and will make things a lot easier, also the code to handle the multiple files is more complicated than you might think

- as for the info file this was a bit of a rushed release, so i didnt include the code to do this thing individually, but it should default to copy everything, that is info file and both the fanart and poster of the movie, as far as i know this works great, but i would check that if all your file are set to be put into the same folder it will overwright the existing files so only the very last item will be created

- The last item is something that will look to include in a later release again i had a few time restrictions so not all the features i wanted made it to the final release, most noteably the abilty to use the TV series of the program, this will definetly be included in the next release along with as many bug fixes as i can

like i said not sure yet weather im going to spend the time on the this or my menu editor but either way im getting a new laptop tomorrow so after i have set that up ill do some work and see how we go!

i get an error after hitting preview.

if i hit continue it shows the second screenshot. it looks like it stops in the same movie always.

in addition if i select an import path, it does the preview for all the movies, not only the ones in that path.

The movie it gets error is a 2 piece movie. i know this is not supported, but maybe you can make it omit this movie and continue.
