No config after install TV Plugin (1 Viewer)

I am having a weird issue following installation. I have just done a fresh install of Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I installed MP 0.2.3, then the latest SVN (15382) and configured via MediaPortal Setup, all except TV (only selected codecs). I then installed the latest TV Server (Rev 15382) and setup TV cards and channels (working in preview). After installing the TV Server Client Plugin (which concluded by stating "successfully installed"), I can not enter the MediaPortal Setup configuration. The config program is listed as open and running in Windows Task Manager but I can not see any screens nor options.
I have tried re-installing and using Windows System Restore but still the problem occurs. I did not have this problem with the previous Windows installation.
Any ideas?

nb I have now configured the "My TV" from within the standard MP and it's working for viewing TV but timeshifting doesn't work.

Hello gusangora,

there are two things you could try:
1. Terminate the Configuration via Task-Manager and try to open it afterwards.
2. Install MediaPortal + SVN AND the TV-Server plugin before opening the configuration at all.

Hi Steve,

It looks like your TVDatabaseV21.db3 file is corrupt - try renaming it (to TVDatabaseV21.old), and then run MediaPortal Setup again to see if that clears the problem. You will have to re-configure the Television section so that a new TVDatabaseV21.db3 file is created.

Hello again,
that didn't work either. I re-named the file to .old and tried to start the setup/config file but still nothing shows (closed via Task Manager). I have attached the latest log.
I don't know whether it's related, but I tried to go back to using the 'standard' My TV (not tvengine) by uninstalling MP and tvserver & plugin, deleting the Team Mediaportal folder, then installing a 'fresh' copy.
Firstly, the tv doesn't work (hangs almost as soon as starts and seems to be timeshift related). Before installing a fresh copy of Vista, I had been using My TV quite successfully but had some issues transferring to the tvengine server, hence the new Vista install.
Secondly, all of the settings from the previous install are still there. How can I completely remove MP and all of the "settings" from the hard drive without having to do another install of Vista.

Most of MediaPortal's settings are stored in the "MediaPortal.xml" file. So deleting the "Team MediaPortal" folder should do the trick for the client. The settings of the TV-Server however are stored in the SQL-database so if you just want to purge them you can delete the "tvlibrary" db within (Stop the TV-Service before). The TV-Server will rebuild the database after starting the configuration.

I actually was experiencing the same issue yesterday, killing the process didn't seem to help me either , its like the configuration has become corrupted i found redoing the svn fixed it but then it broke again next time, i'm hoping a newer svn will solve the problem for me

Yes, I would have thought that deleting the Team Mediaportal folder would have removed all settings, but it doesn't. Even the references to the folders where my media is located are there as soon as I enter the setup/config. Maybe it's just Vista that stores these settings elsewhere? Anyone?

I had no luck with different SVN installs. I can enter the config after installing the MP svn, I can still see the config after the TV Service install but as soon as I install the TV service plugin, I get the issue.
