good Idea as this is what fixed your issue....

screen capture is by hitting "print screen" button for the entire screen or "CTRL+ALT+PrintScreen" for the active window only

Then just open paint, select new and then paste. Save it and your done. PNG format is a smaller format than JPG.

There are plenty of free screencapture software out there, just google.

what did VLC tell you when you entered this adress?

are you able to do the same test on the serverPC ?

I've tested on server PC with vlc , same thing. Nothing happens. This is really weird. TV plugin in media portal on server works normaly. I have 3 clients in my home ( three kids) and after upgrading to RC4 we haven many problems with media portal. I'm not sure is it network related or something.

This would indicate that the RTSP Stream creation on your Server PC is faulty.
The MP instance which is installed on the ServerPC, does not connect to an RTSP Stream. It just uses the *.tsbuffer files that TV-Server writes to your disk.

Please do the following on the ServerPC.

1. Start->all programs->Team MediaPortal->MediaPortal->MediaPortal Debug
2. then enter MyTV
3. tune any channel
4. watch for 3 minutes
5. stop watching TV
6. close MediaPortal
7. attach the created log zipfile to your next post

this will then include logs of the RTSP streamcreation, which hopefully shows us the problem.​

Same here. Well... sort of. We "only" have 2 kids.
But here things are working just fine with RC4. ​
