When I resume MP, I get sound, but no picture.

On the TV Server, there are a lot of these messages (seen in other threads also):

If I change channels, channel is changed, but sound only, no picture.
I have to restart MP to solve this.

Some logs are added.

Extra Note:

If I switch from full screen to windowed mode, picture is back.
If I then switch back to full screen mode, picture is still there :D

I also tried several codec settings, but all give exactly the same problem after resume: no picture, only sound.

Note 2:
If I disable and then enable TV, picture is also back!

    Hi again Mars Warrior

I hope you are well! :)
I think this is a "pause card" or MD*** issue, but it could also be a TsReader issue. Please try to use "stop card" instead as described -->here<-- ("when card enters idle state..."). If that doesn't help then please try using the TsReader from -->here<--. If that still doesn't help then you need to reproduce the problem without MD*** - our policy is that we don't provide support for such configurations unless the problem can be reproduced without it.

Got the flu, so plenty of time to test MP

Will test all three possibilities. Did already test a lot, but not these ones! I Assume @ this moment that it's not a MD*** issue, as BBC and local stations (all free channels) show this same behaviour...

Yup, that won't be a problem. Lots of free channels to overcome the MD*** policy :D

    Well, nothing helps!

I've tested both (card on stop iso pause, and the other .ax file), but get the same results: sound ok, but no picture.

It took me some time to test because I'm having some more problems due to this no picture problem. I have to restart MP everytime to be useable, and for some reason, the startup times are currently very, very, very long which is VERY annoying. Plugins loading takes ages, and the initialization of input devices (just my standard keyboard remote???) too.

On top of that: terminating MP also takes a long time. The MP process keeps running @ 25% cpu load, ie 100% @ one core, which prevents restarting MP soon after that.

So I must dive into the logfiles to find out what's happening, as this is almost fatal for the WAF: a second hand DVB-S2 receiver combined with a (second) Boxee Box for internet contect & local movie streaming is getting more and more 'points' in favor of the MP HTPC...

Something sounds seriously wrong - MP shouldn't be using 100% of any CPU. Have you tried to reproduce the problem in debug mode. It could be a rogue plugin causing problems - saw something similar reported recently actually but I can't find the thread. If the problem(s) can't be reproduced in debug mode then try disabling plugins 1 by 1 until the problems go away...

    Hi.

Oh, MP uses 100% CPU often, too often imho. At start, on SQLite operations if DB file is big, on loading Thumbs, Posters and Fanart,....

As Lehmden affirms, MP is sometimes taking a LOT of CPU. It sometimes feels a bit weird that a quad core & ssd combined with MP is completely outrun by a simple Boxee Box regarding user interaction response times, film loading etc....

    But that's another issue

    Regarding the problems:
    - I will disable plugins to find the guilty one that's playing tricks with startup/stop times;
    - What is needed (logfiles etc.) for my sound but no picture problem? Just debug mode, no MD*** channels, and then select FTA channel, suspend HTPC, resume HTPC, wait for MP to really resume (takes a long time before MP responds, I even see a very small menu, instead of the normal menu), and then select another FTA channel??

I've read it, but apart from the plugins, can't find any relation with my problem:oops:

That procedure sounds okay to me. Make sure you also disable M***I though (rename the configuration folder) so that MP doesn't insert the filters in the graph.
