I could not find any reports on this particular problem, so I hope you can help me. I have a TVServer and two clients: a htpc and a laptop. Neither (!) gives any sound when watching TV, while the TV picture quality is good. I noticed that the "system sounds" in MP (the "ping" you hear when you're scrolling through the menu) go mute as well when the TV is on.

Strange thing is, that it used to work until a couple of weeks ago. No idea what changed it. However, I regularly try new versions of the TV server and Mediaportal. When I use VLC to view the stream, I do hear the sound.
I tried a lot of different audio/video codecs (even uninstalled and reinstalled ffmpeg) to fix the problem, but to no avail. I think I'm just overlooking something silly :)

I have attached the TVserver logs. If any more info is needed, I will gladly provide it.

Thanx for all your hard work in bringing us MP!

Try SVN 14824 for TV SERVER and plugin, this has ben the best of the recent SVN releases.

TV has had a lot of problems with some after this SVN.

Thanks for your answer. I've tried the suggestion, but installing this version doesn't work. I even completely reinstalled the TVServer and MP, without success.

I noticed in a logfile that MP opens audio stream 0, while the server uses stream 1. Could this be the problem? If so, any way to change this? It does seem to work correctly when I use VLC to view the stream.

    Thanks,

    Ronald

This is the message I found in the tv-server log file (tv.log):
    Code:
    card: SetCurrentAudioStream: 1 - mode:Stereo type:Mpeg3 language:Stereo

and in the MP log file: (Mediaportal.log)
    Code:
Preferred audio stream: switching to audio stream 0

I've attached the files to this post. (extensions changed to .txt)

Any help is very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ronald
