Also check the permissions of the timeshift folder and other related folders. I noticed that write permissions were not enabled. This may have happened because I reinstalled the TV Server. I changed the permissions and the error message changed to "Unable to start timeshifting. No signal." even though there is a signal. I can view the channels in TV Server preview.
I reinstalled because I'm having trouble with my ATSC card. The analog card (Hauppauge PVR-150) was working fine prior to the reinstall. Not, it is not, and I still don't have my ATSC card working.
