Hi,

I have been testing the new TV Enging, but when I start MY TV in the client I get the message that "Unable to start Timeshitig. No video/audio detected" - and no picture or sound.

Both the TVserver and TVclient are on the same PC.

The Server is up and running and in "manual control" I can see a reaction, when i start the TV in the client. (see screenshot)


Hope someone can help me.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this happen to me simply when I'm trying to watch an encrypted DVB-S channel.....
Switching then to a FreeToAir channel sometimes everything OK, sometimes seems that I have to restart MediaPortal - TVserver service included !

The reason for no audio/video is maybe the hauppauge HVR 1300 driver.

Now I see that when I scan for TV channels in the tvserver it finds the channels, but says "no signal" on every each channel

When I stop the TVserver and open Microsoft Media Center to test the signal i have signal on all channels.

Anyone having the Hauppauge HVR 1300 up and running with the server?

no matter I tune into.
dvb-t yakumo usb stick

all F2A channels.
No problem when server and client is same PC.

I also have a Win 1300T. Yesterdays build does not work for me at all. But with the latest bulid, i get picture and sound, but it studer very much.

I was getting the same error when my soundmax HD audio device was not configured as DirectShow device.

Similar problem here. Had around 40 DVB-T channels prior to the new TV engine. Now it only detects 16. On my home theater PC I have the latest SVN of Mediaportal, the TV Server and the Client Plugin and can watch the initial channel but when I try and change channel it hangs.

On my PC upstairs I have the latest SVN of Mediaportal and the Client Plugin. I can see it has connected to server using the TV server manual control but no picture/sound is received at the client.

Installed VLC and connected directly to the streamed files on the server and only very intermittent audio was received. Got to say that it feels like a codec issue but I haven't had time to really tinker with it.

The same problem here. The server seems to be running, but when I start the client sometimes only sound appears for a short period. Have tried a different codec (MPV) - i used Dscaler before.

Just an update, had a quick look at the TV server logs and found that it does not seem to be creating an MPEG2 stream as it says it should in the "Test with VLC" section of the Wiki. I've popped the log below. I'll tinker with the decoder settings and see what I can find out.
