Hi everyone, maybe someone can help me out. After installing all requried components and starting the tv-engine service I'm able to scan for channels (and they are correctly found) on both tv-cards. Then to test i switch to the "manual control", select a channel and try to "start TimeS" I always get "No video/audio detected". I have this problem on a system, where the classic engine works fine and on a freshly installed system.

From the logs, it looks like the tuning is fine, but there seems to be a problem with the streaming.

Hints anyone?

(I originally posted this in bug-reports without any answer. maybe someone here can help?)

Maybe it could be because the tuning isn't correct. Try to compare the channel settings on the "classic" engine with the settings in the TVE3.

Just an idea?

I reported something similar with the dvb technotrend last week here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=14528 I noticed that there is a timeout in your tv.log waiting for unscrambled.

If it helps

If it helps, developers are welcome to RDP to this machine and look more closely at the configuration.

The hint from Nyll helped quite a bit. Thanks!

I reinstalled the database and the latest tv-engine (tvengine3-01-14-2007--20-12h--Rev12629.zip) from scratch. ran the tuning over both cards (technotrend and floppyDTV).

Then I checked the tuning parameters in the tv-engine resp. in the tvlibrary database and found that for one channel (SF 1 in my case) the serviceID was set to -15526. on the working classic engine the SF 1 channel uses serviceID 50010.

I then went on to change the serviceID in the database to the value 50010 and voilà, manual streaming in the tv-engine worked!

Now of course the question arises, why the serviceID is wrong. Question to the developers: could it be that there is a integer overflow (as 50010 + 15526 is 65536= 2^16)? Might this be a bug?

Well, its fixed now (i hope).
Could you try the next public svn build?
You will need to rescan your tv channels so it finds the correct service id

    thanks
