I recently put in a 2gb usb flash drive for timeshifting and everything was fine until yesterday when I started getting the same error as you, I changed the timeshifting folder back to the original and it fixed the error, dunno if it will help you, but it may help some one

no video or audio detected for some channels that were found by tv server (think it was rc3, now using latest test build)
also tv finds more channels then mediaportal

have you all installed the dvb fix? it's a MP requirement.

I did, but it didn't help. I didn't test the SVN yet, but I don't think it makes any difference.
(btw, I think mediaportal is great, I like it.)

Stop and start TV services from either TV-server Configuration or from the Administrative/Services.
Preview a channel. Otherwise, install latest drivers, patches for your Tv tuner.

Offcourse allready tried that all, the problem with mine is that preview doesn't work, only scanning... I guess others have the same problem, scanning works fine, but (pre)viewing doesn't
My system meets all the requirements that are in the manual, although mine has a week processor it still should work.

Maybe you could try these things to debug the problem:
Can you view TV with another TV-application, like Cyberlink PowerCinema?
If not, can you view TV when you boot with a liveCD of linux (use VLC)?
If not, can you view TV when you plug in the card in another system (with another mainboard)

This is how I found out it had something to do with my specific system. That's why I thought of upgrading my BIOS.

I can view it with the win-tv software from hauppauge. I will try to setup the tvserver at another pc, it could work but I think not. But it could indeed be the problemI have exotic hardware (via epia, not really mainstream).
But, then again, scanning works flawlessly...

For me, scanning worked also. Only viewing the channels wasn't possible

Uninstall SQL Server, delete this folder only --> c:\program files\microsoft sql server\mssql.1

Reinstall SQL Server, use the password "MediaPortal".

Scan for TV channels, test timeshifting, preview a channel.

I suggest you use ffdshow video decoder first to see if everything works.

I dont think it matters that the password is something else? btw, I am using MySQL.
But the problem here is, nothing works, timeshifting wont work, previewing isnt working, it just is something between the tv-card and mediaportal, i dont think they like eachother.
