No video on single seat (1 Viewer)

I'm using a single seat install of TVE3, with MP-SVN all from 5/2. I'm able to scan for and find all channels with TVE3 via my HDHomeRun. I'm able to view the channels in VLC via HDHomeRun, so I know there is video availble, but when I try to tune the channel, I get nothing but audio and a black screen. I'm using ATSC source (not QAM yet). Guide Data, etc, is alll working great... Just, no picture.

Installed FFDShow because I thought that would take care of it if it was a codec thing, but maybe there is something else I'm missing when it comes to watching HDTV through TVE3 (preview on TVE3 is also black). I'll log in tonight and post logs if its not painfully obvious to anyone what I might be forgetting.

Have you got a proprietry HD codec such as PowerDVD 7 HD installed, usually for any HD content these do tend to decode better than some of the other codecs.

I've got powerdvd 7 installed, but after poking further, I found that I could listen to live TV, but if I recorded a program, then I would be able to watch it... But without sound.

Very odd.

Yea it works perfect in mce 2005 but still no joy with this
I am also having a weird aspect ratio thing going on with my analog card pvr500
only get picture if it is set to original-all other settings give me no picture just sound. Do you think the two probs are related? Could be the aspect ratio of the hd signal screwing it up...I dont know but ive tried mediaportal several times in the last year and end up giving up. everything else is sweet though i'm even tempted to just let mce record everything and playback thru media portal w/shared folder!

hey when i scan for channels and it finds them with the hd homerun the little circle that preceeds the channel with the t inside is red i assume that means the tuner did not lock is yours like that? If not lets compare notes then to see what i did different cuz on the analog channels it is green?!Have you been able to get the built in engine to work? I had problems and then tried this.

I'm using HDHomerun and I just updated the MP and TVE3 and I have the same problem.

The logo next to the channel is red

I cannot watch the channel on MP or preview in TVE3.

However, if I record the change inside TVE3, I can view it, with sound...

EDIT: Some channels on record are without sound, some with sound....

I'm seeing the same thing, Red T's for my ATSC channels.

I haven't tried recording to many things, but so far, its been video without sound.

I'm in the bay area. I tried recording different channels...

Apparently, CBS HD records with sound but every other channel I tried are without sound... Don't know what's going on there.

I had a old setup before that worked but it is not available for download anymore...even the 3/27/07 svns doesn't work...
