ok, did a new tv home screen, like it much better than the one i posted before

Just some constructive criticism... it's a sleek looking skin with alot of polish, do you really want the TV section to be represented by Dad's mothballed 1973 Super Zenith?

Nit picky, I know... and it does still look good, but I just had to say it, if for no other reason than an opportunity to use the word "mothballed".

for the TV, I am of two minds as well. That tv looks great for the preview, but it does look out of place on such a sleek skin.
The good news is that it's really easy for anyone who doesn't like it to simply substitute their own image in its place.

hmmm, i think it fits well to the design of this skin. ok, it's an old tv, but hey - you are able to see THAT IT IS A TV. imagine a newer tv-device from the front... you would think: "hey, that's a quite big border he has choosen arround the tv-area"... or "hey mofux, thanks for having a look on overscan, you simulated that very well"

so i will stay to this one! (for the case you have SUPER DUPER MATCHING EVERYHTING BREAKING pictures of a tv from the front in good resolution post it)

I'd prefer the channel logo being grouped with the channel name ("KABEL 1" in this case), though. And where is space for the program description?
What's this small white bar?
And where are all the buttons from the original "MyTV" screen...?

Don't want to nitpick, just trying to be constructive. This is really outstanding work, keep it up!

Waltz, yes, i'm not done with the screen. i also dislike that enourmous big channel icon as it is now. i wanted to place there the tv program that comes up next, but there seems to be no possiblity to do that, so i just placed the channel logo there as placeholder . space for programm description is enough (at least i hope as i haven't had a big programm description in tvguide)... in the picture the description is "Melodram USA 1973" i think, so you see, there's enough space under it, but i need to test test that.
the small white bar is showing you the progress, but i think i will give it some background to see where it starts and where it ends.

yehaw, i hoped somebody would ask that i've posted another screenshot where you can see that i dropped out most buttons of that screen. i did an extra screen for them, just to select one of them i think this is very functional and clean.


--- well i learned from this, i think i will never again post images of screens that aren't ready so guys, if there's no image for a day or two don't be sad about it, i'm just making myself sure that it looks as i think it should look!

Sorry, I had already forgotten about that pre-MyTV-selection-screen. Very nice idea indeed!

About the program descriptions, there are some programs with quite long descriptions, sometimes the whole plot of a movie or an episode. Depends on your grabber settings.
For example, this is the program description my grabber (WebEPG with TVToday.de) gives me for the movie "Ein Platz an der Sonne", coming up on 3Sat (German television):

(A Place in the Sun) Drama USA 1951;
R: George Stevens; D: Anne Revere, Elizabeth Taylor, Keefe Brasselle, Montgomery Clift, Raymond Burr, Shelley Winters
Preisgekröntes Drama um einen Aufsteiger (Montgomery Clift) zwischen zwei Frauen. Dank Liz Taylor läuft der Film in der 3sat-Reihe "Traumfrauen"

I'm afraid that EPG infos like this one require a lot of auto-scrolling...
