    Hi Gregor,

must have been good luck the other day - sorry for giving you new hope :sorry:
I tried yesterday to actually view some of the channels found but none worked.
So I started to scan once again and received nearly no channel at all.
I have a second PC here with a Nova HD S2. On that one I could see most channels.
Then exchanged the cards to see how the Nova HD would work on the other PC.
I ran a scan and got all channels while the nova Plus on the other PC failed to get most of them.
On both PCs I was able to watch any channel with other programs like ProgDVB and WinTV
    - allthough the Nova Plus had problems to get a clear signal and the program stopped here and there for
    a few microseconds to seconds.
It seems, that the tuner (at least on my Nova Plus) is somehow worse than the one of the Nova HD.
The signal overall here is pretty bad on every day and was even worse yesterday with all the wind and the
rain. Today, on fine day with a clear blue sky even the Nova Plus returned all channels - however still NO
preview possible on TV-Server with channels beyond 11700 while the same channels are shown on ProgDVB
and WinTV. I'm clueless  After all how much use is it to get all channels scant if you cannot watch them?
I'll try it over the next weekend from a different location...

Until then, don't give up tryin'

    Hi Arnulf,
while playing arround with this I found that also Transedit is not always able to scan high band.
After changing the diseqC settings from 'none' to 'SimpleA' Transedit worked again.
So I did the same in TVServer and viola I could watch high band channels.
I am prettty sure that I did this before without success - but give it a try. Probably it makes your system also more reliable.

    Hello GregorV,

I'm a bit late with my answer... But yes, I have a 'solution' based on the drivers mentioned by emerich. I can scan and tune all channels inside TVS with this driver. However it has a drawback: After resuming from hibernate this driver/TVS combination is not able to tune into _any_ channel. Therefore I built a workaround:

Each time that the PC resumes from hibernate I issue a restart. My card works well after a 'clean' restart, but not after wakeup from standby or hibernate.

This is how I did it:

    1. Start TV server configuration
    2. Goto the Power scheduler plugin (I assume that You know how to activate it)
    3. Under 'Advanced' there is a text field 'Run command before standby/after standby'. Here I give the path to a batch file, e.g. c:\utilities\Runat_hibernate.bat
    4. This is the main code of this batch file:

    Code:
if "%1" NEQ "wakeup" goto :exit
C:\Programme\Utilities\poweroff_deutsch.exe reboot -warn -warntime 5 -msg "Der Computer wird jetzt neu gestartet."
    :EXIT
Remarks: I use a small program poweroff.exe to restart the PC, but I'm sure there are other possibiliites.

Hope this helps You a bit.

    regards from Germany

What about the 22nd of Feb drivers - v2.121.26053?

    Hi DMAN,
tried to find that driver release - without success.
Please send a hint, where to get it.

With the latest SVNs I saw different behaviour concerning that issue.
In general it seems to become better - less restarts of TV-Service are required to bring it into a working mode.
But still it needs 3-6 restarts. Though it may be a driver issue it is surely also dependent from TV-Service release because with TransEdit (I use it for tests) the problem does not exist (never).

    Thanks,
    Gregor

    It's in the 4.2 package...

As for the issues with the card, seems interesting the older driver works fine...
v2.121.26053 has been tested by i-loop and works with his WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 (same driver afaik).

It means their bundled software doesn't support HD & neither does MCE for H.264.
We do :) i-loop tune DVB-S2 channels with H.264 no problem.
