I presume you were asking me. I taught the IR commands, I did not use the quick-setup. The STB is a Sky TV (NZ) Pace DS230NNZ.
Try using one of the existing Sky/Pace quick setup options, if they don't work try re-teaching the IR commands to the plugin. And failing that, have a look around on the net and see if you can find Pronto IR files for the STB. RemoteCentral.com is a good place to start.
Cheers,
Hi John
I have a similar problem with my Virgin Samsung STB (and pretty sure this occurs with some Pace STB's too)
Apparantly what Ive found out is that the IR receiver on the STB seems to 'fall asleep' after a random period of time and it can miss the first digit from the blaster. (However, it never seems to miss the 1st digit from the STB remote...very strange?!!)
Anyway... my work-around was to transmit a pre-change command (I used the # button from my STB remote as this isnt used for anything).
This was enough to 'wake up' the STB in time for the next 3 digits to follow .
i.e blaster sends '#' , '1' , '0' , '1' for channel 101 etc.
Ive have been using this dummy 'pre-change command' method for 12 months now and hasnt failed yet
Hope this helps (or hope this helps anybody else who is foolish like me and sticks wth this damn Samsung STB!!)
Cheers
Darren
What if neither of the original remotes have a # button? I have tried learning the blue button on both which is not normally in use other that with teletext. I then lined these up as the 'pre-change command' fir the two different boxes. I still appear to be having a problem when wanting the channel to change on the respective STB for a scheduled recording of a program.
