my testing was done with this svn version MediaPortal-svn--03-27-2007--20-03-Rev13639.exe and SpinSafe Revolve (latest version) and i notice no such thing or any other problem with the new TVSeries version.

Interesting. Do you have Auto monitor folders and auto update online data enabled? (please provide which combination you use).

Also if you have the former enabled, how long does the prograss indicator stay on approximatly after you enter the plugin for the first time after MP startup. In this regard, approximatly how many episodes/series do you have in your collecion.

I'm trying to narrow this down, so pls provide any info you can.

Auto monitor folder is on auto update online data is enabled as well.

I am not 100% sure for the above two so i have to check when i get home because i am at work at the moment

i have approximatley 12 shows. with a total of around 350-360 episodes. The progress indicator is almost instant. By the time i enter TVSeries plugin it only takes but a few seconds to go off. All my files are located on my file server and access through my 100mbit lan network.

Thats weird, please get back to me regarding the exact settings.

For me it def. takes longer, even in older releases it always took at least 20-30 seconds to go away, depending on the time of the last update a few mintues. Though I do have many diff. series and probably close to 1000 episodes. But still.

Lately I've noticed it always staying on for a few minutes at least, sometimes it will never go away even after watching 2-3 episodes its still constantly running after say an hour or so. Its a false info though because the log indicates its not really doing anything, so don't worry, nothing that consumes your bandwidth like crazy ;-)

I just run this again on my test pc and the reason I couldn't see this at home is because of my skin. I am using spinsafe revolve and with that skin I can not see the indicator showing up at all, whereas with B2 I can see it going on for a very long time.

Don’t really know why. Maybe the colors spinsafe is using make the indicator go invisible or something.

395 episodes total

Both of those options are enabled.

As i said above
If i use Blue Two the progress indicator stays there for a long long time.
If i use SpinSafe Revolve i cant even see the progress indicator a all

The reason you don't see it in spinsafe is because it is moved off the screen to <posX>2000</posX> so you can't see it.

I've just tried to reproduce, and now of course everything works as planned. I'm scratching my head here.

with the latest stable release I noticed that when I browse to an episode I see the download icon in the left bottom corner. This happened before, it meant the plugin was searching internet for info I guess. But now its doing it for quite some time. I watched 2 episodes of an hour yesterday and when they were finished the icon was still active... is this normal behaviour?

Yes, I think there is problem somewhere as I've been noticing the same thing. I've been trying to localise it but I'm not sure yet. I'll go do some more bughunting this weekend as it is annoying.

I also have this problem, i use the Harley skin and i see the progress circle constant spinning as if it is updating something.

First of all, I want to state I really LOVE this plugin, so does the GF. She's a bit of a computer-freak-to-be and even uses MP more than me.

Second, I have absolutely no knowledge of the inner workings of MP, but have been testing a lot with the settings and been modifying skins for the last year or so.

Now, the issue is the following: both Title and Subtitle are used as type 'textboxscollup', just like the description. Which is probably perfectly fine for most skins, but in Replicant the Title and Subtitle are set at a specific place in some sort of "info-top-bar". For this to work, the Rezise Description To Fit (exact name escapes me at the moment) has to be disabled. If you don't, the Title and Subtitle can be all over the screen.

And then the question: is it possible to have Title and Subtitle as a different type, "label" for instance ?

Regarding dsr, do you mean as a Logo rule? I don't think you can detect dsr rips from their stream information (such as bitrate or resolution) so I think you'll need to rely on naming conventions. Regular hdtv rips pretty much have the same res/bitrate, only a better source. But I wouldn't know how to theoretically distinguish between them.

If you wanna go the filename convention route and that's ok for you then thats easy, select your logo file, then enter single condition:
<Episode.EpisodeFilename> contains dsr

Furetto I don't really understand, you can disable that option and place the controls anywhere you like in the skin. I'm not sure if converting them in the skin to a Label would throw an exception or not, did you try it? But I don't really get why it needs to be a simple label.

Maybe some screenshots can shed light.

Currently the Replicant ReadMe says "disable this option" which is a good workaround. But many people don't read the ReadMe

Maybe the real question would be: is there any way of displaying Title and Subtitle as a normal Label/Fadelabel ? I presume this is dependent on the plugin... and thus of you...
