I currently would recommend LAV. It will be bundled with next version of OnlineVideos I think.

:D, LAV seems to be also a key component of SAF, replacing ffdshow. I notice that it includes support for Nvidia HW-decoding. Will my ATI HW-decoding still work, if I install LAV?

    Hi,

a friend of mine mentioned that streams of several sites like kinokiste are implemented into his Online Videos plugin (Mp Version 1.20). So I updated my media portal and installed this plugin, but I can only find "official" streaming stations like BBC, ZDF, ARD etc.

Is he using a different OnlineVideoSites.xml than I do? He told me that he didn't changed anything after installing the plugin. So I was just wondering how I could get the same to work at my media portal. Do I have to import his .xml file?

    Thanks for your help,
    mart.n

Did you do an autoupdate, and add all the appropriate sites through the "Manage Sites" menu?

I've tried to install Online Videos and it seems that 80% of the videos don't work unless I have SAF installed. Unfortunately SAF doesn't work with CoreAVC it would seem (cannot replace Haali Splitter with LAV Splitter) so could someone tell me which codec/filters are required to watch .flv and .mp4? Would FFDSHOW be my best bet? I've looked at an old thread showing proper codec install for OV but I wasn't sure how up-to-date it is.

    Thanks,
    Rob

BTW, what is soo good on CoreAVC? LAV video decoder is faster, have CUDA decoding too, can decode a lot of video formats and it is ftree...

Well in my case I get stutter if I try and run LAV Video Decoder, CoreAVC is a lot smoother it seems.
