I can't get the Apple trailers to work. It shows the spinning hourglass but after a while it closes and no video is showed.

Have you installed and activated the MPlayer plugin. You also have to enabled the extension ".mov" for external player use. See the included readme document of the online video plugin and/or mplayer plugin.

Finally got it to work, some feedback

After a couple of tries I now got it to work.Not you way it did not work from the start.

Some feedback:
- Great idea, really cool plugin !
- Great feature to include a search on some sites, but I am not sure it workes 100%. I got some matches but also other videos that did not work. Maybe it search on more than the title(?).

I did not get the GameTrailers site to work (but all the rest). When I clicked an icon the screen just flashed for a ms.

Ideas for improvements:
- If possible, when pressing info, show resulution, meta etc
- Possible to resize video
-FF/RW if possible

I would really love to see searchable apple trailers.
Mostly I am searching for a certain movie title but I don't know who has released it.

It would also be REALLY cool if I could click on a movie title in movie database and get it to play the trailer from the apple trailers (or search for the title from all included online video databases). Is this something that technically could be achieved from this plug-in?

Hey I've gotten the plugin to work, but once i start a video (only tried youtube so far) how do I get out of it, none of the remote buttons do it, same with keyboard.

and directly after posting this.. it all works fine so nevermind, great plugin

Problem with flv player

Hi,
I have a problem with your plugin I can't fix...
When using flv player plugin, as recommended, the picture is really ugly, you can see the large pixels (see attached screenshot)
And my biggest problem is that the video is really choppy, and CPU goes up to 50 % of use (my computer is recent)...
Really no idea what's happening, tried everything that was advised in this forum, installing/ reinstalling flash player, etc.

My config is
MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1
Last version of the plugin (0.26)
CPU 3.2 GHz
1.5 G RAM
ATI 9600

The image quality depends on the quality of a submitted video. It's normal to see pixels in some videos.

Yes, I agree with you, but on the picture I submitted, you can clearly see the big pixels. And on the youtube website, which uses the embedded flash player, the picture is "polished".

I already saw this when you just installed your computer and haven't installed the video card driver yet, you see large pixels on the video and the video is really choppy...
I have the latest driver for my video card, so it should work just fine...
But as the CPU usage gets really high when lauching a video, I suppose the flash player doesn't use my video card...
