okay I'm completely lost..
the readme says:
If you want to watch apple trailers:
1) download and install the MPlayer plugin
2) Enter Mplayer's Configuration
3) Go to the video tab
4) select ".mov"
5) check the "External player use" checkbox

too bad I cannot even accomplish step 1.. I googled, I searched the wiki,.. the closest result that remotely makes sense is the mplayer plugin for mozilla firefox.. but that's not the one that's meant in this context I guess. So where do I find that ominous mplayer plugin for mediaportal? :-/

ploblem with search

but i have problem with search,
how does it works?
when i select it don't show me classic search toolbar like plugin
wikipedia or other similar

I can play Youtube flicks but there's loads of errors created in MediaPortal.log and error.log.

There's hundreds of these every second. My logfiles size are now 30Mb

Youtube videos are no longer working. It seems Youtube has changed something on there site. I'll post an update once I've fixed the plugin.

Apple Trailers are no longer working. I've MPlayer plugin and player installed... but it doesn't work. There is no spinning animation, when i press the selected video they just doesn't play...

IDEA: It could be nice to add a new feature for this plugin that downloads automatically all video sources in XML from a fixed location (like MP web or whatever). that way, the sources could be always up to date. And have another XML file for customized settings (path for downloaded videos, thumbs folder, custom sources, etc)

Patricon, You'll have to forgive me as I don't follow what you are proposing. Can you elaborate?

Ok, i'll try to explain it better (i'm sorry if my english is not good enough). Currently, every time that YouTube, Google Videos, etc changes the rss feed or any other parameter, you must release a new version with changes into the XML file. Every time that i download the new plugin, i must change again my custom settings manually into the XML file, what i'm suggesting you is to add a new feature for your plugin that could download a XML file from a given URL (any fixed place, in your web server for example or any other site); that way, every time that the user execute MP your plugin connect to that site and download the updated XML file containing all up to date rss feeds and parameters. You just need to use two XML files instead only one, one for fixed sources (that it's downloaded from that URL) and another one for user custom settings (paths, etc).
