Why can't apple video use the internal videoplayer, so if you have the correct codec (f.ex fdshow) it will play without mplayer-plugin? In earlier versions of this plugin apple-trailers would indeed play with the internal player, one just had to press "My videos" a couple of time to get to the video. But I can't get this to work anymore in the latest (0.28) at least.

As far as I know nobody has gotten this plugin to work with the internal player. If you have please share the steps to do so.
The plugin does not choose the player (internal player or mplayer). Mediaportal's g_player decides which player to use. if you look at the log you should see an entry similar to this g_Player.Play(http://movies.apple.com//movies/independent/eyeofthedolphin/eyeofthedolphin_h640w.mov).
I'm not sure what you mean by "one just had to press "My videos" a couple of time to get to the video".

I just a found a bug when saving Apple trailer videos to a local folder. The save function always saves the video with an ".flv" entension. This bug seems to have been there since the apple trailers site was added to this plugin. I'll post an update once it's fixed.

gregmac45, I am actually using Online Videos without mplayer.

MPlayer didn't really work for me, after a casual try. So, here is what I use:

First, make sure you clean your codecs with Codec Sniper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Codec-Packs-Video-Codecs/Codec-Sniper.shtml.

Then, install CCCP from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multim...eo-Codecs/Combined-Community-Codec-Pack.shtml. (I actually like Vista Codec Pack (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multim...deo-Codecs/Advanced-Vista-Codec-Package.shtml) better overall, but for some reason it didn't play the Apple trailers consistently for me (maybe the latest version, 4.9 does, I haven't tried it yet.))

Make sure the FLV player and MPlayer plugins are disabled in MP Settings.

Then go to an Apple trailer, and, voila It works for me.

Well, I can't really give any useful information since it is not working anymore and it is quite some time since the last time i tried it. What I meant with pressing "My videos" was pressing the "My videos" button on the MCE remote control. But I know for sure that I had no mplayer installed, only ffdshow. The video started playing, one could here the sound, so to be able to see the video one had to press the "my videos" button until you saw the video.

Is there anyway to tell FLVPlayer to use overlay when playing the video? Im sure it use to do this, but now when I play anything from youtube, its only displaying on the PC monitor, and not at all on the TV (still shows the clip selection screen).

I'm trying to use this plugin with another divx page. This page is www.yendit.com . and the rss of one of the groups is http://www.yendit.com/rss/cat/677 . The problem is that it takes the list of movies, but when I try to run them, it doesn't do anything.

What can I do to add this page to your plugin?

Unfortunately yendit.com will not work with this plugin. The rss does not provide direct links to the videos but links to the html page.

I'm not sure what flash uses to play videos and I don't think you can change it. I haven't tried the new plugin on a tv in a while. I didn't think there would be a difference. Anybody else having trouble using this plugin on a tv?

I was looking the rss of the stage6 and it also links to html pages, and the page yendit get the files from stage6. I suppouse that yendit is not so diferent than stage6.
