Great stuff. After installing this, and enabling the flash player everything appears to be working fine. I havnt tested playing a video yet because i am vnc'ing in from work.

hey... this plugin works really well

can i put in a feature request for when everything else is sorted? i'd really like to see a word filter list you can configure through the plugin config. Any video titles found with words in the filter list wouldn't be displayed.
There's so much lewd/violent/just plain gross stuff on those sites i'd really like to filter it down a bit!!!

I was able to reproduce that screen by removing the player.swf from my mediaportal folder. Check and make sure that the player.swf is in your mediaportal directory.

player.swf is definantly in c:\program files\team mediaportal\mediaportal\

I have extracted the zip again and had the same results.

Should the .swf file be associated with any application? I do have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed...

When you removed the player.swf file from your media portal folder, did you also get the small black box up in the top left? That seems to disappear when i disable the player in the configuration...

Wonder what it could be.

Set your security settings in IE to "Medium Low" then go to:

When I view a clip (I've only looked at youtube) I push another button to go to fullscreen mode.
When in fullscreen mode there's no way back, I have to wait till the clip finishes, no controls respond.

The same key that takes you to fullscreen will get you out.
On my machine that is 'X'.

Ahh, in that case I can guess at the problem (I'll take a look when I get home from work).
I use Girder for remote control, it looks for the MediaPortal to have focus before accepting commands for it.
I'm guessing that maybe when the video goes fullscreen from mediaportal it loses track of MediaPortal somehow and Girder doesn't see it as having focus anymore?

ahhh, quite right! I had only used firefox to install flash but after doing this in IE everything is working fine. Thanks Mish for the help and Gregmac for the great plugin!

Hi, great plugin!

However, it doesn't work with the MCE widescreen skin... All I get is a black screen with a single "View As" menu item. If I switch to Razor it works perfectly (I put the skin files in both the razor and mce720 directories).

Anyone who can reproduce this and suggest a fix?
