I dont think that is possible. If you want to watch your movies and tv shows or just play music in your IPad, there are some nice apps for that.

For music i am using Air Play It

Both works nice and fast. You can play all your collection in the ipad (mkv,avi,mp4,mp3,org,flac,...)

After jailbreaking Ipad can get XBMC installed. And is able to work as fully functional device with TV also

It's possible to install xbmc on a Ipad, but you need a jailbreak.

What I'm looking for, is to control the Htpc with a Ipad app. For xbmc I use the app "constellation". For MePo is nothing available.

Every time that i answer something about the IOS i forgot about the jailbreak. I never did and i will never do

until you need to update to a current version because of some features or an updated app (happens with WhatsApp for example)
