i get this too! two eps from battlestar, each with a slightly different name means i've got two battlestar icons in the plugin.

this needs a major rewrite of how the parsing & the inner DB mechanism work.
Lucky for you I just spent a lot of time (much more than I expected actually) doing exactly that.

So now even if the parsing of the filename extracts different series name, when the name is matched to the same online entry everything will be merged. Hopefully.

I'm going to do another release tonight with those changes.

- deep change on how the data is structured; I'm now using the online series ID as the main link between all objects. Purpose: to be able to merge different local series name into one general node.
For that matter, all previous data is erased and a full scan is necessary again.
- the plugin name can be set in the configuration
- fixed text fields not showing in MP (MP's fault as I supposed)
- added an option to not clear entries if local files aren't scanned anymore (or are missing, or on a CD, or whatever)
- log output state remembered (can be collapsed)


As I'm saying in the log, the plugin WILL ERASE ALL DATA from your local file, so it will have to scan for everything again. A way around that was much too complicated since I changed the various links between the tables.
The most bothering downside of this is that the watched flag are lost again.

I've tried everything from switching skins etc... and when I click MP-TV series it doesn't display anything..

I give up, please can some one tell me how to install this plugin- I have been looking for over an hour and a half - even checked the 'old' plugin but aparently they are different...

the new plugin has absolutely nothing to do with the old one.

just download the latestes version from the downloads section of the team.media-portal.com front page, unrar the archive and then copy th mp-tvseries.dll file under releases directory and paste it on your Mediaporta\Plugins\windows directory.

then open the sources\sikn files directory and copy from the 3 different skin directories the file tvseries.xml and paste it on the skin that you are using.

then open you MP configuration go to plugins and right click and configure MP-TVSeries.

the configuration its straight forward and you should be able to configure it in less than 2minutes.

I think there is a problem with latest version.
doesn't display anything (only one empty button) while previous version was working ok.
using me-po green 4:3 with bluetwo skin file.
data downloaded ok, but i think it's skin problem.
in log there is:

Loading XML Skin: C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\\skin\MePo Green\TVSeries.xml

maybe that double slash causes this behaviour?

Well I've tried it with 4 diferent skins and no luck They all scan fine but apon loading up MP and Choosing My Tv Series it shows nothing but that visible button.. The last plugin worked out very good and no problems.

-> Game_dude just replace the skinfile again had same problem then tried pasting the files into their respective directories and it all suddenly worked.

at least give it a go

Same for me parsing OK, all series were found, but with the 0.5 and the 0.5 skin file for BT, "no items" on screen...

was good with the 0.4
