and Game_Dude, I had this issue, make sure you re-copy the new Skin ifile into the Skins directory! a fair amount changed on it!

Even so - there does not seem to be a way to delete episodes. I understand the obvious 'security benefit' to this limitation, however if deletion requests could be mailed/forwarded to a moderator to be batch-processed, this would greatyly improve the integrity and accuracy of the db imho.

Still a great idea however, and it generally works very well. I have just had to renumber some of my episodes to match the db, just to get things line up, that's all.

Well, the enable /disable checkboxes in the import paths are just a way to include or not paths to be scanned.
So what you are describing is not indeed the initial intent

I kinda see what you're requesting; I believe that if I put an option somewhere that tells "don't remove local reference if the local file isn't find when scanning" it's going to do what you are waiting for, right?

Thanks for your reply. Actually, the way I had expected it to work was:

If the path is not present in the list, then no import, and no data in db. (Obviously)

If a path is added to the list, then whether the data is test-parsed/imported/freshened/displayed in MP plugin or not is tied to the enabled tag. When you add a path to the list, the default value is 'Enabled', so this works out fine.

If a path is present in the list, but disabled, then if there is already series data in the database associated with this path, then just ignore it - it just means it's there because it was previously imported. Also - when the path is disabled, then don't freshen the banners/info for the associated serie(s). MP plugin should also not display series associated with disabled paths, which is the current behavior I believe.

Only when series data exists in the db that does not have an associated path entry (path previously in list was deleted) should the associated data in the db be removed.

BTW - having a global 'enable/disable all' checkbox on the top would be very useful, it would allow me to toggle the status of all series to disabled, enable only one series, test-parse it, then re-enable all series, and then Begin Import.

Having said all of this, this is just a suggestion - after successfully importing most of my series, I got used to the existing behavior, and so it's just a matter of how folks will assume the behavior works when they first use the configurator.

I did the exact same thing than you: replaced the plugin dll, gave it a go, and it worked right away.

So; do you see series in the configuration? what are your settings (all of them)? Are you filtering only local episodes in MP?

zeFlash. First thing, thanks for your awesome plugin. You absolutely rock! I am a bit of a TV Episode collector and this plugin greatly helps my wife sort through my 1.2 Terabytes of Eps on my server. I registered just to get in on this thread with a few comments, suggestions:

1. With the latest ver (0.5) It appears that although all the eps are parsed and put into the db correctly (You can see them all in the configuration screen with banners etc) it only displays the series/episodes i specified that it NOT recheck again when i initially parsed. The rest do not display at all.

2. I have a pretty big request / suggestion. I have a fairly extensive collection of episodes, and due to wifely constraints, i have been forced to back up episodes over time. I therefore currently have about 1.2tB on my server and another 800-900gigs on DVD. What i would really like, is if i could manually add Series/seasons/episodes to the database (perhaps using a search function for series with info on the online database) that reflect in the menu (perhaps with a * next to them in MP to identify that they are backed up) Then, when that item is selected in Media Portal, it pops up and says Please insert Disc X (where X is the name of the DVD where you have dumped the avi for that particular ep... perhaps this dvd name should be added in manually as a criteria when you add the backed up items manually in the configuration) You can then put the disc in and browse to the item you are looking for. This would be better than trying to Parse DVDs caus, lets be honest, no-one is going to parse 200+ DVDs. I am sure plenty of people have episodes backed up to dvd or cd and this would be hugely helpfull.

3. Can you allow us to delete items in the database from the config screen? Perhaps just right click/delete or something . I find i sometimes parse things then delete them and i like to keep the DB as neat as possible.

4. If i move a series from hard drive to hard drive, and re-parse, will it automatically sort everything out? I tend to move stuff around a LOT as i am limited in space.

Once again, absolute admiration and respect for your plugin. I have been following its progress almost daily and it is one of the main reasons i have stuck to MP without trying any other HTPC software suites out.

for 0.4 evrethings good, good parsing, all series found, and in Mediaportal, evreythink fine.

I have exactly the same problem, the parsing works great nut no series in MP. Is the skin for 0.5 supposed to be the same as for 0.4b or should there have been a new one?

The same problem I'm having I'm not trying to complain or anything because this really is an awesome plugin and very usefuljust 0.5 doesn't seem to want to show any items, i'll try it on My main pc

ok, I'm an ass. There are 2 display settings in this plugin, and I only tested the one I use: show all episodes (and not only show locals).

- fix for the series not showing when the display setting is set to only show local files is on
- fixes for various cosmetic errors in the configuration window

And I also updated the readme as the instructions for installation where all wrong.
