Yeah, I have the problem with the missing first letter, too. Files are on NAS....

yes thats the difference i was looking for mcbelly. My files are on a win2003 server.

if i put them localy they first letter is there.

anyway this is not a problem or a bug that deserves any fix anytime soon. its just the parsing test and who really cares if they do import fine. :D

The problem is that I have some series on both DVD and local drive and since Parsed_Name is primary key in the table series I get two instances of these series in the database and in the menu, one for the local files and the other for my offline files.

Looks nice too. One thing I always "hate" about such tools, is that you need to launch the application, scan the folder in and then rename everything or the episode you want. That's why my app includes a small shell dll which integrates a small context submenu into the context menu of avi files. You just need to right-click on an episode and select "TV Show Renamer->Rename Episode" or "TV Show Renamer->Search for new Name" if you want to confirm the new name first. If you installed the setup from above you will need to reboot or restart the explorer for the shell extension to be loaded.
Any feedback if it works for you would be appreciated.

this tool is awsome. I have tested a dozen of shows and it works like a charm. You dont even need to have the episode title and it finds that too. It also works with .mkv files.

Great Work ccMatrix.

I have one question.

I usually like to rename my files in this order
CSI S07E07 - Happenstance.avi

What output format do i need to put in ur tool to make that happen?

P.S.
You should really post this tool in the repository.

ccMatrix.. works great for me, except that it looks like it requires the directory name to be the show title. No way you can parse this from the filename? The only reason I ask is that I put all my episodes that need to be renamed into one directory and rename them there before sorting them. Your program thought every show was from the series 'process shows'. :)

Otherwise, very cool program.

I think zeflash has time short already and second, there are programs which can do this for you. Personally I use Basic File Renamer. It's free.

i second that and in addition renaming filenames is not the job of a tvseries plugin. I think is much better for everyone for zeflash to make the plugin do what its suppose to do. i dont think making it renaming files its one of its purpose.

Just my opinion.

well, i was just suggesting this because it is tied into an online database, like MusicBrainz is. It would be very nice to be able to pull data from a database. Doesnt have to be this plugin specfically, but it would be nice.

I tested the latest version and it works very well.

I got 1 suggestion, If the plugin cant find the serie, it sugest a few. Automatically adding miniseries and extras.

I can remove those and everything works which is very nice :)

However, if auto update is turned on the miniseries info is automatically added which is not very nice

Could you make the plugin updater only add new episodes, not series
