Hey Poppabk,
Yea, I am aware of this 'condition.' I tried early on to combat it with no luck. Since the TV guide has a similar response I presumed there was not a way to programatically select the item in the list. I will research it more and see if I can include something in the final release.

Thanks,
Wile E.
No worries, its just a minor issue, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't navigating incorrectly.

Error after installing Netflex plugin

I just installed MediaProtal and have it working. I installed the Netflix plugin by following the pdf instruction. I unzipped and coped the MyNetFlix RC1 files to the suggested folders. Went to the MediaPortal Configuration Plugins page but Netflix was not there. I then double click the MyNetflix RC2a.mpi but it did not install. I went to the MPInstaller page and selected the MyNetflix RC2a.mpi file for install and it installed ok. The netplex plugin now shows up in the MediaPortal Configuration Plugins page. I then continue following the instructions and click the Authorize button. This give an Unhanded exception error "Application not found" with the following message:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

The netflix and browser location is C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\NetFlix_Remote. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling but get "Invalid Package!". Is there any way to fix this or do I need to uninstall everything and start over?

    Hi bjohnson,
Could you do me a favor and post your MediaPortal.log and Error.log files? I will take a look and see what went wrong.

Also, id you follow the pre-requisits? Install Framework 3.5?

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

Well, we lost Blitz for a short while, but now he's back! :) That said, he was the originator of the idea to have multiple accounts which was also driven by jmvaughn. They have been kind enough to test an RC3 version that supports a main account and sub accounts. Is there anyone else out there that is interested in testing this version before it goes public? Note: This version is exactly the same as the RC2a version except with Multiple account support...

    Update....
I have release RC3 on the first post of this thread. RC 3 really only has two features...

    1. Support for Sub Accounts (You will notice it in the Configuration)
    2. When you return to a previous listing it will now go back to the position where you left off (Be sure to thank Poppabk for this, he reminded me to go back and look into it.)

Other than that it is pretty much the same. Please be sure to delete your old MyNetFlix database...

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

Thank you for your quick reply. Here is my logs.

    Hey bjohnson,
Your logs didnt really tell me much at all, your MediaPortal.log file was almost empty. That is the one I refer to most when I am troubleshooting...

Could you do me a favor and re-create the issue your having, then repost your logs?

    Thank you,
    Wile E.

Thank you for your willingness to help but I uninstalled the application and will reinstall it sometime this week when I have time to read up on how to get the Netflix plug-in installed correctly. Any hits would greatly be appreciated since I followed the Netflix pdf instructions and did not get the results expected. For starters, what version and file should be used for a first time install?

I would start with RC2a and follow the Readme.pdf instructions on the first page. Dont forget to enable the plugin in the MP configuration.

The Readme.pdf instructions on the first page says the following:
    a. Copy the files from the MediaPortal folder in the package to your MediaPortal folder.
    b. Copy the files from the NetFlix_Remote folder in the package to your Program Files folder.
The RC2a file you refer to I assume is the MyNetflix RC2a.mpi file. How do I copy files from an mpi file. I think the pdf is referring to a zip file like the MyNetflix RC1.zip file. This is the reason for my original confusion.

    Hey Grooves12,
In Vista it resides under C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database. The name of the database is NetflixDatabase.db3.

    Wile E.

The Readme.pdf instructions on the first page says the following:
    a. Copy the files from the MediaPortal folder in the package to your MediaPortal folder.
    b. Copy the files from the NetFlix_Remote folder in the package to your Program Files folder.

WOW, thanks for pointing that out to me. Its been a while since I reviewed the Readme.pdf file. I have updated the file on the first post...
