Here are the log files. A couple other issues I found:

The Blue3 XML file for 4:3 aspect ratio has the background images set to 1280 x 720 in 2 or 3 places. I went through the file and corrected them to 800 x 600 for my version. Before, the image would be half off the screen, now I can see the whole thing.

The NetFlix logo doesn't show up on the menu when using the aMPed skin. It works when using Blue3.

    Hey Onebrokennec,
Sorry for the delay, I have been out of town.

Your logs show that a database (doesnt specify which) is having an issue. Could you do me a favor and delete your NetflixDatabase and see if that clears up your issue?

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

    Wile E,
I continue to be very appreciative for all your work bringing NetFlix to MP.
Two UI improvement suggestions for future releases.

    1) When selecting “New Releases” “watch instantly” the list of titles includes every episode of each TV show, filling the list. If I browse the same list at the NetFlix website it just shows a single entry for each group like “lost season 1” or “big brother season 11” not sure if just the “top level” can be shown for new releases and only if selected you get each new episode.

    2) A significant shortcoming of the NetFlix watch now is the lack of individual watch now queues. We have a multigenerational household with very little overlap in what each of us would put in our instant queue. To address this is there any way to launch with list of “most popular watch now titles” or even the “new release” list of watch now titles instead of a personalized queue? The NetFlix site has the top 100, could we have a subset of the top 100 that is available to watch instantly listed on launch?

    Thanks!

    Hey Winterscape,
Thanks for the feedback & suggestions...

I have been looking into a normilization of my database, but Netflix promises that they will have more information available soon, so I am afraid to soak too much time into making this change if I have to go back in a month and completely revamp it...

This would be fantastic if Netflix would release an API that allows developers to see top rated movies (Instant and otherwise...) This has been at the top of every developers list to Neflix since the API was introduced. Again, this is something that is on their to-do list, but when I do not know...

Netflix play now not full screen

Vista 64, MP1.1 latest SVN, Netflix 1.0 (mpie install), PureVision 2.5 or StreamedMP skin

When I play an instant movie, the player doesn't start full screen, it's a large windaw against the windows desktop.
When I stop viewing, MP doesn't restore. Then a double-click on the MP desktop icon and MP comes back up in the Netflix queue.
I have a feeling I am missing something.

And on my laptop (Win 7 RC 64, same MP, same Netflix mpie, same skins) it works properly (as it did in the older versions.

    Any ideas?

    First time install

    Wile E,

Thanks for bringing NetFlix to MP! I did the install on a Vista 32-bit system and found one oddity and one issue:

When going through the authorization process and the custom browser window opens to capture the username/password for the NetFlix account, the 'a' and 's' keys on my keyboard don't work. As soon as I alt-tab out to the desktop, they work again, so I typed the information into Notepad and copied and pasted the information into the fields of the custom browser to allow the authorization to complete. Why would those two keys be captured in the browser and not be displayed? Weird...

The issue is that when viewing a watch instantly movie it is very slow/jerky, but when I use my default browser (Firefox) outside of MP/My NetFlix, I can view watch instantly movies no problem. Why the difference in performance between the two. Something I am doing wrong?

    Thanks again!

    Ah, oddity's and issues :)

The oddity could be caused by an autokey script running? The autokey script I use doesnt start until you kick off an instant movie, so Im pretty sure it doesnt have anything to do with that...

As far as your slow/jerky issue, the custom browser is based off of IE, could you try to run it in IE and see if you get the same results?

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Hey Tamvegas,
Are you by any chance running dual screens on your Vista machine? Also, do you have MP to always be on top?

Nope, single screen and MP set to be always on top.

There was a serious slowdown in loading movies (10 sec or so versus 4 sec via MS I-Explorer), but the latest SVN (8/16/09 I believe) took care of that.

Everything very fast again now, but still MP doesn't restore to fullscreen upon exiting NetFlix.

    Hey Tamvegas,
I wonder if something in MP 1.1 broke my code to restore after movie stop. I will be installing Windows 7 this weekend along with MP 1.1 (right now I am running 1.0.2 on all my machines), so I will be able to test and get to the bottom of the error.

The latest SVN of 1.1 has a lot of changes in the TV server for upcoming (I believe) features. I may try Win 7 again very soon as well. The last time (a month ago) I tried it my ATSC Hauppauge tuners (1800 and 2250) only were seen in MP 1.1 as analog tuners although MCE and WinTV saw them correctly. I'll be curious to hear how tuner identification goes for you as well.

I am not sure what autokey scripts are. Is there something I can check on / read up on?

I used Firefox and IE8 outside of MP and things ran fine. When I put in the path to both browsers in the settings, things ran jerky just like the custom browser. I also noticed that my MCE remote would not control the movie, only the Stop key exited the movie and went back to MyNetflix.
