I upgraded my MP installation from Beta to latest released RC1 and i am not able to install My Netflix v1.1.
Getting below Error.

"This is an old format file. MPiInstller will be used to install it".

And when i press Ok, no other error message but i don't see My Netflix showing up anywhere in the list (Home or Plugin)
Checked Plugin configuration but it doesn't show up there as well.

Please help.

Read the OP again. There's a manual installer for the RC, or you can install it using MPIInstaller.exe which is located in the Mediaportal directory.

I am back at working on the netflix 1.1 list view screen again.
Yes, I have MP 1.0.2.

1) So looking at the file diffusemirrorwide.png that you had posted for a while it is only 283 bytes and its size details are shown as 1x143 pixles. Is this correct or do I have a bad file? Could you grab it and send it or post it again?
2) The two logos shown on the bottom of the list view screen are not included with 1.0.2 (dvd and blueray) could you send those logo files as well for blue3wide?
Just to be clear I am not talking about the blue, red, and black dot images that appear to the left of the title. I am looking for the logos shown in the bottom center of the screen shot you posted in this post

Great plugin Wile E!

Is the ability to browse the catalog (more than top 100) on the roadmap? I use PlayOn right now, and with that I can browse New Releases or All by both alphabetical and genre. My goal, however, is to switch over to full time use of MediaPortal and Netflix browsing is a must have.

Sorry guys, work has kept me SWAMPED the past few weeks....

1. I think that is correct, I attached it again in the zip file...
2. In the attached zip file

Im not sure that #1 will work with 1.0.2 . I have only tested with the Beta 1 & RC 1 versions...

Thanks for the feedback Horizons! I will put this on the radar for version 2.0. My NetFlix 1.1 is feature complete and uses (almost) every API Netflix has to offer, but browsing is not available, unfortunately.

I would be happy to create a browsing function if it is not available with the NetFlix 2.0 API, but I would like to wait and see what is available first before creating it myself.

Ah, I see. yes, I believe PlayOn may be somehow screen-scraping rather than relying on an API, which makes it slower and more prone to breakage of course.

Wile E. Yea I think this must be a 1.0.2 thing, as I have found no way to get the display to match your sample. Adding those files did not help. To be clear all functions seem to work fine this just seems to be a cosmetic thing if using 1.0.2 and blue3wide...

Hey all,

Here is a basic description of the problems I am having with the Netflix plugin for mediaportal.

I am using the Netflix Plugin version 1.1 with Media portal version 1.0.2.0 and the StreamedMP skin. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit with .net framework 3.5 installed. When clicking on any of the videos in my Watch Instantly Queue the file tries to play, but I receive the following error message "Not a valid movie." It opens up into a separate window labeled "Netflix Movie Viewer" Here is a picture of the exact error as well:

Does this Netflix plugin utilize Microsoft silverlight like Netflix.com? I made sure the silverlight plugin was installed but still it refuses to work. My Netflix videos play fine off of netflix.com. Does anybody have any idea of a possible fix? I haven't found a post online with the exact error code so I am at a loss as to what I need to do to fix the error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out the problem, I actually read the readme this time and I forgot to specify a browser for netflix to open up in. Problem solved.

Just a quick update. No idea why but I now have the reflection! I did install onlinevideos 0.17.0 this weekend, upgraded from 0.9.8. That is the only change I have made recently.

More than likely that one of the other changes I made b4, listed above, fixed it but it needed a reboot or something…
