skin rocks i love it, im happy with the way the fanart and stuff turned out

although, have you changed anything dramatic in the coding of the files, in filmstrip view for both moving pictures and tv series the art takes a long time to come up maybe 3 or 4 seconds at the most or is it something im doing wrong?

Hi Happy,

I have made very small changes to the filmstrip views. The only change is "<scrollOffset>4</scrollOffset>" (was 2 before) and the zoom factor that was 130 and now is 150 on selected thumb. I will try to investigate and also perhaps create a smaller version of the DVD frame for the filmstrip. I'll get back to you as soon as I know more.

After you've pressed "Print screen", open Paint or if you have another image creation app and go to Edit->Paste and the screenshot should appear. But I understand that MediaPortal has a built in Screenshot function, but I don't know what button to use. I'm guessing F12 and this way, the output should appear somewhere in your Mediaportal directory.

Edit: Your screenshot there looks like it's in 4:3 format. Are you using a CRT 16:9 TV? The skin is made to fit a true 16:9 display. A CRT will give you a 4:3 image stretched to fit the 16:9 format. Unfortunately, you're bound to end up stuff not properly aligned.

Ah yes Emphatic, you are right ofcourse. It is that i install and test everything upstairs in my hobbyroom. There my HTPC is connected to a 4:3 lcd screen. When all is done on the htpc it goes downstairs to the living room and is connected to a 16:9 plasma screen. Everything is still stable. Still not all done, but i suspect the times will be ok on the plasma 16:9 screen.

Also i have problems navigating when i am in the tvgemist screen. But that is something of the plugin i guess, and has nothing to do with x factor.

I have updated the rar file with smaller dvd frames in filmstrip. Can you download it again and see if it is better? Remember to delete cache. Sorry for this inconvenience.

After saving the changes I did with the Menu Editor the new BasicHome.xml file does not work. Running 1.0.1 final.

Can you please attach your BasicHome.xml and the xfactor.xml file (xfactor.xml is located in the folder where the cache also is, somewhere under documents and settings or programdata).
