Yes, clicking OK after editing the channel (without changing anything) will save, reversing them back to what they are supposed to be.
Try it and you will see what I mean
Remember to click cancel after double checking the result or
it will save again and they will reverse again.


The bug is actually in the TVDatabase.cs file in the MP source about
line 3258-3260 in the MapATSCChannel method.

the String.Format SQL for "update tblATSCMapping"
has ..., majorChannel={22}, minorChannel={23}
but the replaced values have minorChannel then majorChannel

I will try to post something in the development forum.

Awesome patrick! And to think I accidentally fixed a few of my ATSC channels by doing just this!

I also tried going into the ATSC channel again after fixing it by clicking OK, and clicking OK again. Sure enough it reversed the major and minor channels.

After making sure the settings were correct, I configured the Zap2it plugin to force an update. Tada! It got the EPG data for all my ATSC channels once again.

Thank you for this workaround. I hope this gets addressed in future SVN's

Do you have the recomplied Zap2it plugin that works for the recent SVN builds? I'm running Rev 10586 and it is doing nothing regarding the EPG.

Tested and think I fixed the crashing when no internet available.

I ran the Zap2itPlugin.v1.6-Post10456-SVN-BIN.zip file you provided against the latest SVN (Rev 10586) and it worked perfectly from what I can tell.

I started with NO TV Channels and now the TVDatabaseV21.db3 file is now 27.2 MB and fully populated with my zap2it account channels.

Logging seems to be working as well. Here is the last bit of my epg.log file:

2006-09-29 10:04:08.531250 [Info.][Zap2it EPG Client]: Committing the transaction

The entire process took about 20 minutes from first starting MediaPortal.

I did have to go into Televsion -> TV Channels-> TV Cards: and map each available TV Channel to the correct TV Card.

I also had to go into Television->TV Channels
and edit the ATSC channels just as you described in the above posts.

I also had to Autotune my ATSC channels but this was to be expected.

I'm on my work computer - no TV card. I'm using the 0.2.0.4 stable patch on this computer but I get the pop-up which states "Unable to process any channels, have you done an autotune in setup?" Prior to my wiping off the MP and the registry, it had worked! I do have the lineup in the TV section of the confuguration. Not sure what step I am missing to get the TV guide to show-up on this computer (without a TV Card).

BTW - This text needs to be word wrapped, because it is hard to read the words "an autotune" because they are over the OK button. Using BlueTwo skin.

The plugin will only match analog lineups if there is already
epgMapping present for a channel or it will try to "find" a match IF a
frequency is present (from the Autotune).

If your lineup IS digital set the plugin to auto-add digital channels
and it will auto-add them all even without a TV Card or autotune.

I will look but not sure there is anything I can do about this as it
is an internal MP dialog.
