Awesome plugin that should be a part of the official release!

I'm not sure what magic this plugin does, but after scanning in my ATSC (Vbox DTA-150 card) and doing nothing but manually ad an SVHS (S-Video) channel manually, all of my DirecTV channels have been added to the "TV Channel" list!

Amazing! I'm not sure if this is a function of this plugin but it is working great.

Just give it time to update the TV Guide and so far it truely is "Set it and forget it"

    :D

    Completely Awesome

I've been out of the loop for a while, using MP 0.1.3.0 without TV support because I could never get it to work the way i wanted. It looks like I FINALLY HAVE A REASON TO UPGRADE!! Great work!

I'm wondering why I get these messages in the epg.log file. I have the channels named correctly in the TV Channels:
    9/25/2006 11:46:53 PM 890 [Info.] Could not find a match for KRONDT/4-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:53 PM 906 [Info.] Could not find a match for KGODT/7-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:53 PM 937 [Info.] Could not find a match for KBCWDT/44-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:53 PM 968 [Info.] Could not find a match for KRONDT2/4-2
    9/25/2006 11:46:53 PM 984 [Info.] Could not find a match for KICUDT/36-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 015 [Info.] Could not find a match for KNTVDT/11-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 046 [Info.] Could not find a match for KBWBDT/20-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 062 [Info.] Could not find a match for KQEDDT/9-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 093 [Info.] Could not find a match for KSTSDT/48-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 125 [Info.] Could not find a match for KQEDDT2/9-2
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 140 [Info.] Could not find a match for KGODT2/7-2
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 171 [Info.] Could not find a match for KCNSDT/38-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 203 [Info.] Could not find a match for KTSFDT/26-1
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 234 [Info.] Could not find a match for KQEDDT5/9-5
    9/25/2006 11:46:54 PM 250 [Info.] Could not find a match for KQEDDT4/9-4

I've had to force an update a few times just to get some of the ATSC channels to update, but it's not getting the EPG data for most of them.

Has the lineup information on zap2it changed?
Maybe not the "lineup" but Channels names or numbers?

Did you auto-scan your channels again to add the channels?
Are they selected/checked in your lineup in your zap2it account?

    HTH,
    patrick

When I saw that my ATSC channels did not have any EPG information I logged into my zap2it account and the channel lineup information looked the same:

    Ch Station
    2-1 KTVUDT
    2-2 KTVUDT2
    7-1 KGODT

I'm not sure why the plugin is interpreting the channels I have as:

    KRONDT/4-1
    KGODT/7-1

The channels I am using are from my 0.2.0.4 export. They all work perfectly in that install. This issue I am seeing is from my SVN installation (MediaPortal-svn--09-24-2006--02-04-Rev10448)

That is just the way they are printed in the log, callsign major channel-minor channel.

When you export and import the channels the EPG Mapping is
not saved but the Channel info and ATSC mapping should be restored.
So I am not sure why it does not find a match.

    Basically the search order is:
    1. The epgmapping table (where the ID used by the plugin is stored).
    2. The plugin searches by the callsign ex. KGODT
If you had your channels renamed to ex. 7-1 KGODT
it will NOT find a match here.
    3. Checks for ATSC channels by checking if the channel can be
found in the ATSC mapping table and if the major and minor
    channels match.
    4. the checking for "over-the-air" type channels by channel
numbers IF there is a frequency present.

I am not sure without seeing the data why it would not find
an ATSC channel though as this information should be restored.

If you want to give me your ChannelList.xml file and zap2it zipcode
and provider lineups info I can see if I can reproduce it and find the problem.

    HTH,
    patrick

    Just FYI...

The logging in MP changed in SVN (rev 10456 IIRC) and
I think this will break the logging for this plugin (probably the entire plugin).

If anyone needs it, I recomplied with the logging working
and I think I fixed the crashing when a network connection
IS present but an internet connection IS NOT present.

Let me know if you do and I will post it here.

NOTE: It is for recent SVN only, so I don't think I should post on the
main downloads until this new logging is in the stable builds.

    HTH,
    patrick

Patrick, thanks for working on this plugin. Will your updated version work with a current stable release?

This program is not working for me. I got an account at Zap2it. I am able to refresh eth line up list in the plug-in configuration and I am able to load the line up with the Zap2it data but when I click save I get a time out error. This is the zap2it log. Can anyone shed some light on what is wrong and how I can get this puppy working?
