I am hoping so too... I just tested a couple versions with 0.2.1 and none of them seem to work :(

I second that 110%. It is a plugin that makes MediaPortal for US users friendly and addresses several key issues (external channel creation, brainless EPG data) that are indispensible when it comes to getting MediaPortal running well as a PVR.

I believe as long as there is no developer and tester from the USA (with DirecTV), I don't expect this plugin to be an "official" plugin.

    Zap2ItPlugin v1.7
Recompiled for MP Stable Release v0.2.1.0 and SVN as of 10-23-2006

I submitted the updated plugin and source to the MP downloads
for the MP Stable release v0.2.1.0

Posting them here if you need them faster.

    Zap2ItPlugin-v1.7-MPv0.2.1.0.zip
    - For MP v0.2.1.0 Stable Release. Includes dll and source.

    Zap2ItPlugin-v1.7-MPvSVN-20061023.zip
    - For MP SVN as of 10-23-2006. Includes dll and source.

    v1.7 Changes
When attempting to MATCH a channel from a lineup that is an OTA Broadcast
will attempt to find a match using the Broadcast Channel Number.
When attempting to MATCH a channel from a lineup that is NOT an OTA Broadcast
(example Cable) will attempt to find a match using the Major Channel Number.
Only if a match is not found using the above will loop through the channels
again checking for matches using reverse logic.
This should not change anything with the way ATSC channels are matched.
I did not know if ATSC channels will always be from a OTA broadcast listing
or if it is possible they could be part of a cable/sat lineup.

Let me know if anyone has any issues.

    HTH,
    patrick

Yes, I'm looking foward to testing out the 1.7 SVN build you have posted!

I also noticed that the download availabe from the main site located here references the old zap2it plugin dated 7/9/2006 (114,688 bytes). So I'm not sure the version you uploaded to the download section is the correct one patrick.

THANK YOU for your continued support for this critical plugin :D

Strange, maybe the admin is still reviewing it before posting the actual file.
If it does not get updated (and I don't forget) I will try again in a day or so.
Just a second thought, I used the same file name from the post above,
I wonder if I should have used the same name as the original download...

    HTH,
    patrick
