Which method do you suggest to use for the channel listings (EPG?)?

It doesn't matter, you can use the zap2it plugin config or the zap2it web site
to manage your lineup, just it can timeout using the zap2it plugin config.

Also, I have to manually assign the channel names to each number?

No, you should not have to.
I guess I still do not understand what you are asking.

Basically:
Auto-tune your channels in the MP Configuration.exe
Set your zap2it lineup and channels.
Configure the zap2it plugin with the correct username and password.
Configure the zap2it plugin to rename your channels with the format you want.
Close the zap2it plugin config and the MP configuration.exe.
Launch MP and wait for the plugin to download the data
and update the database. The first time can take up to 20 minutes
depending on your PC speed, # channels in your lineup and days you
set to download.

If this is not working, post your epg.log file after an attempted update.
I cannot help much more without the log.

Alright, I will try it and follow these steps exactly then post my epg.log if it doesn't work. It is common tho to get a "timed out" message after I refresh the channels, press the play button and then press save in the zap2it config menu?

Just fyi, unless you are selecting or deselecting channels to download EPG data for
you should not have to do any channel refresh or save in the zap2it plugin.

I just got back to trying to find a matching pair of SVN MP with the Zap2It plugin. Yesterday 12/23 I downloader the latest SVN and grabbed the last plugin you posted in this thread.

I'm trying to pull down the DirectTV listings (SVHS selected as source) and get the followin in the epg log :

Hi Bob,

I am going out of town today for the holidays and won't have time to look before I go.
The error is saying it cannot parse part of the xml data.

Anyway, I imagine there is not much else in the full epg.log but it may help if you could post it
and/or tell me your zip and lineup to see if I can reproduce.

One thing, double check your username and password (They Are Case Sensitive).

I am not quite sure how to get the channel names and info. I just get the show information and the channel number. Where is the epg log file? I don't see it in that log folder.

I am just putting that zap2itplugin.dll in the Plugins/Process folder right? THere is a bunch of other stuff on the downloaded file.

How do I uninstall that SVN build? I had installed it for something else and now cant seem to get rid of it.

I was unable to reproduce the problem using your lineup.
Maybe there was a problem with the data and zap2it corrected it.
Try again and see if it will work now.


Anyway, I have added code for the next release to allow what what
I "think" was the problem so it would not cause an exception, but
like I said I cannot reproduce so I cannot be sure.

I think just control panel->add/remove programs to uninstall MP.
