    Another heads up...

Zap2it has changed the local broadcast channel lineups again. It's back to the way it used to be. Meaning they list the major/minor channel numbers again... I had to delete my lineup and re-add my preferences.

The plugin is still working great!

    Thanks!
    Thought that might happen.
Left the existing code in place in case it did but I will go back over it to make sure.
Zap2It must change the zap2it channel id when they do that b/c
that is what is used for the mapping.

    Thanks again!

Question, where can I get the latest Zap2It plugin? I looked at the area on the main MP site and it's an older build...

Speaking of the SVN builds, I would think that this plugin should be included in the svn as it's essential for anyone living in north america.

The one on the MP downloads section "should" be for the MP Stable Releases.
In MP SVN versions the MP logging has changed and breaks the plugin.

I did not think it a good idea to post a SVN Only version in the downloads
section so the last SVN version of the plugin is somewhere in this thread,
if I can find it quickly I will edit this and post a link.

I cannot edit the first post to make it easy to find.

I am trying to find the time to make a new build(s) over the next week
but it is kind of a pain keeping different versions in sync.

    HTH,
    patrick

    Hi Patrick,

I agree with the other guys. You should submit this as a SVN patch, I wouldn't be using MP without it.

    patrick,

If you could join the #mediaportal channel on irc.freenode.net and speak with one of the devs, they could possibly see what they can do to officially add you to the MP team. See if you can talk to dman (dman_LFC) if you have the time.

All hail patrick! He keeps the Zap2it plugin alive ;)

Or you could download the SVN, truly integrate it into the TV config section, and submit it as a patch. If the xmltv grabber is integrated, then this should definitely be. This and controlling the directv receiver were the biggest stumbling blocks to using MP. Once I got my hands on this plugin, the hardest part (setting up channels, adding channels, and setting them as external) became the easiest part

Some of my local channels are messed up. what do you mean when you say they list the major/minor channel numbers again. Can you give one example of the way it was and one example of what it is now? I have looked on zap2it listings and tv guide but they both have different channel ID's for my stations. none of them work...i'm just trying to guess what the new ID's are until the are changed on the website.

    Thanks,

    Mr.X
