Okay Misterd, thanks for looking into it.
As you can see I am running on a bare minimum CPU and going for the low power consumption (25 Watt full speed) because the TV server is on 24/7 (also running as webserver).
What I noticed myself is that the recorded file size doubled. I think this has to do with the recording quality set to a higher bitrate (noticable higher quality). I guess the higher CPU load is a trade off against the higher quality. Is it possible to change the bitrate myself (via interface or setting file)?
Thanks agian.
Ruud.
At the moment you can only change the bitrate by modifying the source code. But I'm working on it and some other things. I have no clue how long it will take to finish everything.
If you want to know more about the changes, look at my other thread.
Hi there misterd, been trying to get your patch to work with my Pinnacle mediacenter PCTV 300i for some time now but no joy. TV server can scan the channels but wont preview, i used to get the "no audio/video error" but that has now changed with the latest patch to "unknown error".
I have tried using the original pinnacle software encoders and those from Intervideo and Cyberlink, but with no luck. I've included my logs with this post, i'd be grateful if you could look at them and see if something within them gives you a clue as to what the problem is.
The version in the first post is outdated and doesn't fit to your version of TVE3. You are using a version that already contains the AudioVideoObserver stuff which I ported from DVB to analog cards.
Unfortunately there are many changes in the db section for the epg importers and also fixes/extensions from DMAN for analog cards, so I would have to post a new version every day. When the changes are completed, I will update the version in the first post.
Hi again, thanks for the update, I'm not sure if it was meant to help fix my problem or not but just to let you know that my problem is unchanged. I am still unable to view channels with any of a variety of encoders selected.
How is about for this post, now with MediaPortal RC1?
I can't install it (AnalogPatch-Rev17811) and i can't sintonize analog channels with my hauppauge 4000
I totally forgot this patch, because I'm currently working on the new approach. :sorry:
I don't know if the current version is still working, but I assume that it is broken. Therefor I will post an updated version on Friday for the svn build.
