I noticed your patch was included in SVN today. Except for the management console, there wasn't an option to set the encoders. Isn't the patch fully implemented in SVN? What's the status?
Only the first part of the patch is in SVN. I agreed with the team that it would be better to split the patch over several SVNs to find possible issues. I only included the modified filter with ts recording support. The priority feature for software encoders, teletext stuff and graph reuse feature isn't in SVN at the moment.
I will post a new version based on todays SVN build later this evening in the first post.
Ive been using this patch to try and solve my tv problem.
Stumbling over this patch i discoverd that i can use commercial encoders to encode my software analog card.
Iv tried a number of different encoders that are listed in the patch, most which arnt acctully detected by it.
I managed to get the cyberlink encoder to give a result. It allows me to scan for channels and detect them, it also plays the sound from the tv channel, the problem comes that it decods the first frame from the tv channel then just stops, it doesnt freeze mp, it just wont play any frame past the first one. This happens in both the preview window in config and in the mp client.
I also found that installing these encoders gives you the ability to change their settings in the normal mp client, and that some of these settings might be useful to me to fix my problem.
I would like to know if its possible to get to these settings in the tv server?(i would also like to know what causes the problem in the first place )
I would apprecate if these settings could be put in via the patch if at all possible?
I have no clue why you get only the first frames when watching a channel. There are many possibilities for this issue and most of them haven't to do anything with TVE3.
The upcoming changes will have encoder settings for analog cards, but I can't tell you which settings will be available.
Im just wondering why the opensource ffdshow mpeg2 encoder isnt listed?
Also is adding a new filter just a matter of adding the name of that filter in graphedit to the "video encoders" string on line 2466 in the tvcardanalogbase.cs file?
Iv been trying to test this myself but for some reason even tho i got the latest svn today and updated my local svn at the same time,,, my tvlibrary file compiles to about 12kb's bigger then the site svn version of the same file
Hi misterd,
thank you for your good work.
By the way, can you take a look to analog radio?
It doesn't work.
From the beginning of TVE3.
It would be a very good thing.
