    Most of the remotes that plug into the tv card itself will not work with MP unless someone has already taken the trouble to build in support. You can check the HIP website to see if yours has been set up already (www.byremote.net I think) but in my view you are much better off spending the AU$69 to buy an MCE remote. It's much more user friendly than most remotes and is supported right out of the box with MP, although you'll have to do a little more work if you are unning WinXP Home.
