I cannot get my Plextor digital usb stick tv tuner to be reconized in the configuration. What is wrong and what do i need to do to fix it

If you search the forums, you'll find info on adding new cards to a tvcards.xml file. This method wont help you to get the card working in TVServer3, however the information collected is still needed to get the card working in TVServer3. So, that'd be a good start. And as always, logs are helpful. .... a little more info please.

Ok, so im trying to add my tuner as per this page

It is giving me an error when i try to link the Microsoft dvbt network provider to my input of my digital tv tuner filter. the error it gives me is "these filters cannot agree on a connection. please verify compatability of input pin and output pin, no cobination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. (Return code: 0X80040217)" What do i need to do to make this link together

There is a microsoft update that might fix this issue. Give it a try.

Nope, i still get the same error, and i also dont get an output option out of the digital tv tuner filter

Does the tuner work with the ArtecMedia software? Just trying to narrow down where the issue is. Also, try to use the tuner to watch tv in MP standalone version. Then while MP is open, open graphedit and select the "connect to remote graph" option. Select the graph MP created and view it. This might give you a better idea of how the filters and pins should be connected for your tuner. Thats how i figured out the layout of my Plextors filters.

Yes, it works in artec media player. It also works in beyond tv. I opened MP and tried what you said to get remote graph but there was none to select from

You have to watch live tv before the graph gets built. Then it should show up in the remote graph list.

I am not able to watch live tv. It wont let me select a tuner to tune from. That is what i am trying to get set up

I go into the MP setup wizard, go to television, and go to capture cards and nothing is listed there. What do i need to do to have my card listed there

Did you uninstall the TV Client Plugin for TVServer3 so that MP was using its own TV engine. Otherwise, you're right, it still wont detect the card. I want to know if the standalone MP TVengine will detect the card properly. If the TV options in MP setup are greyed out, then you need to uninstall the TV Client plugin and stop the TVServer service to give control of the card back to MediaPortals TVengine. Then it should detect it. Mediaportals engine is supposed to have good support for DVB-T cards.
