Here is the info i think you need to get the Plextor working. Thanks for the help man. You can open the Plextor.xgr file with notepad. I attached the GUIDs text file b/c in code, the GUID for AMKSMultiplexerSW doesn't match the GUID of the Intervideo Filters. Hope im making some sense.

Im at work now, but ill be home in about 5hrs and ill post it. From what i can remember though, the first thing it hangs up on is trying to add the multiplexer. The log says something like "no multiplexers found". Thanks again man. Does the Graphedit jpeg i put together seem to make sense to you? I mean, do the filters look like i arranged them right?

EDIT:

OK Here's the log.

    Try SVN17603 or later.
If that doesn't work I'll need remote access to sort it quickly.

OK. I updated to the newest SVN and heres the new log file. As i suspected, it still wont load a multiplexer b/c the GUIDs declared do not match the GUID of the Intervideo Multiplexer, so it doesnt get found in the AddTVMultiplexer function. I hope you dont mind giving it another go. Thanks for the help.

OK looked at the device (thanks fasuxe) and now I remember it.
The capture filter pin does not provide MediaTypes and MediaSubtype information.
Also by default it's set to divx encoding hence why it doesn't connect to the MPEG-2 mux.

What we need to make this seemless is to get the WISChip GO7007 SDK so we can set the device to MPEG-2 everytime the graph is started.
Without this it's going to be very difficult to progress with integration with TVServer.

How did you get it to show divx setting? Everytime I add the capture filter to Graphedit, it defaults to MPEG-2 settings. I've got it open like you did, but its set to MPEG. Check it out. Also, any idea why it works in Mediaportal standalone version? I dont think MediaPortal is using the WISChip GO7007 SDK to set any defaults. Hmmmm....

Thanks for all the help though. Im leaving the VNC up, incase you wanna check it out again.

EDIT: It seems like, once I run the PlextorGoCap utility and change the setting, that setting is the default. All a user would have to do is change it to MPEG before running the TVServer setup and config. ..... i think.

Everytime the graph is built it defaults to divx.
Do this... Open Graphedit, add the capture filter, get the pin properties of the video capture pin.
You'll see it's set to divx.
If you adjust the properties of the filter then yes it will go to MPEG-2.
What we need is some code to do exactly that everytime the graph it built without messing with some other applications in the background or beforehand.

If you search the forum you'll see an old thread about that device and it's support under MediaPortal's old engine.
The problem is exactly the same.

I did that. I opened a new Graphedit chart and added the filter. I didn't change anything, but when i looked at the capture pin settings it was MPEG2.

    ***EDIT***
OK, i tried something different. When i add the filter to the graph, the capture pin does default to divx. However, if you only look at the capture filter settings(dont change any thing and hit cancel) then the capture pin defaults to MPEG2 when you look at its settings again. So, i think like i said earlier that when the pin is used, it defaults to whatever you last changed the settings to in the PlextorGoCap utility. It just seems like the pin setting doesn't update to the same setting as the capture filter until you view or use the capture filter itself. Make any sense?
