Re: AW: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

    Hi!

Unfortunately the plugin doesn't work for me! I think i am doing something wrong ! I use "Browse the web" in default configuration, but if i confirm a link with # on my remote, nothing happens!
Could someone please give me a hint?

See here. Try to use ACTION_SLECT_ITEM and then for confirm use Ok button.

One question is is there is a possibility to use flash with this plugin.

Flash seems to work for me (using BBC News - Home as an example).

The main issue is that selecting the flash video to play requires a mouse as it is not given a hyperlink number to type-in using the remote control.

Some sites autoplay when the web page loads and these play fine.

Edit: You obviously need to install flash player though (after Webbrowser is installed so that the firefox plugin is installed)!

    Thanks, I will test it.

So I have to install Firefox as well, as stand alone application?

    I'm now using Microsoft IE.

No, but I think that the plugin is based upon Firefox.

I just installed flash player and it all worked, so I would try that. My comment about installing it after installing Webbrowser may be wrong thinking about it.

    Hi Rob,

well, I have installed Firefox, and was also not able to play flash video's. so I had to install adobe flashplayer, specially for firefox. For Microsoft IE, there was a version of flashplayer installed allready. After install it for firefox, browsetheweb is now able to play flash video's.. So, that problem is solved! :d

The problem that you reported is right. You can not select flash video's with a hyperlink number on your remote. That's a problem for me.. You can use only the mouse, and that works, but you can't use both..

Another problem is Microsoft silverlight.. Some sites require this, like RTL XL. I can't find a compatible silverlight version for xulrunner.. Anyone a idea?

    Best regards,

and Rob, thanks for you help :)

Re: AW: [Plugin] Browse The Web / Webbrowser

Can we have an Update of this Plugin in the Plugin Section of the Website. MEDIAPORTAL - Browse The Web / Webbrowser.

So I can install this Update with the Extension Installer, I don't love that you can't Update alle of your Plugins with this function.

I imagine it will come out after the final release of MP 1.2.

I'm waiting on it as well. Unless anyone knows where to get a more recent version ...
