Been a little busy with other stuff but the current release of this plugin reports playback status back to MediaBrowser server and if you have trakt running on the server side it also relays everything back to Trakt (as playing in MediaBrowser though, so also relaying the actual client would be nice). No need for Trakt for MediaPortal plugin to hook into player status for scrobbling.

We have a new server build out today with even more remote control feature in the API, a new podcasts plugin, a new books plugin. Our transcoding now also passes apple's store requirements and as a result performance has improved significantly for all clients.

Ahh guys, this makes me so happy. I started using MediaBrowser a few years ago with WMC due to its dismal built in media capabilities. I switched to MediaBrowser for the Server/Client PVR set up and have been testing for about 12 months or so while my house is being built. The one thing that was lacking was central media scraping / playback.

Its good to see an old name popping back on my radar from MediaBrowser... the product looks great and if I can get it integrated into the MediaPortal setup it will have a serious wow factor in the new place, especially with such a wide variety of clients.

The Theater client looks amazing for a standalone client.

I love using Mediabrowser because I have a Mediaportal HTPC in the living room, and can have low powered Roku boxes and iOS devices around the house, but am having to use 2 different things for Movies & TV Series on the Mediaportal box at the moment. @armandp Is there any ETA on the next version of the plugin or is it on hold due to other stuff at the moment?

Little snag, the interface is working and connects to the server correctly automatically. Media list is showing correctly and movie details are correct.

When I try to play however I get an 'Unable to play : (movie title)' popup.

Logs dont really show anything exciting, just the same error.

My setup is:

MP 1.4.0 (TV Server - Separate server)
MP 1.4.0 Client (Laptop)
MB Latest (Different server)

I can access MB from a browser and movies are playing. It is still scraping my large movie collection so I'l try again tomorrow when that finishes, but thought I would just leave some feedback!

On the Media Browser Server you have to set the collection path to a network / unc path (that other clients can reach also) and NOT a local drive. For now this plugin is not using streaming function of MB because playing from a network share is much easier.

I want to manually modify Titan - what's the ID for Mediabrowser plugin? Or how do I find out?

Are there separate ones for Movies and TV Series, so that I could go to each individually?
