And how can I now my IP address? Keep in mind that I'm using the same computer as server and as client.
Is the one that I get writting ipconfig in cmd.exe?

Thanks for answering my questions Wile, you are great!

Regards,

Aitor

Correct, your ip address can be found with the ipconfig.exe command.

Ok, I wrote my IP Address and now I get this error when I start Mediaportal:

Ufffffff... it's impossible to get this work...

Thanks Wile ;)

EDIT: Well, I finally fixed that problem (Wile, please, have a look at the "Program Files" problem, because all non-English users will get errors when trying to install the plugin). Now I can start Mediaportal fine (it takes sooooo much time to start, but that's another question), but I get this error when I try to start the plugin in Blue3:

2009-08-25 22:25:10.812500 [ERROR][MPMain]: SKIN: Missing C:\Archivos de programa\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Blue3\X10HomeControl.xml
2009-08-25 22:25:10.812500 [ERROR][MPMain]: No translation found for id 111099

At least the error now is very short :D:D:D

Thanks.

EDIT2: Now I tried with XFactor and the screen appears. How can I turn on my modules???

In your system the X10 plugin tooks 30 seconds to start? The "FireDTV: FiresatApi.dll could not be found on your system!" error is related with your plugin?

I don't know if this is normal or not, but for me it seems to be a little bit rare. What do you think?

Thanks for all ;)

Aitor

PD: Am I the only one testing the plugin?????

I don't think the Firesat file has anything to do with the X10..most likely Winlirc. Sound like
a file used to control firewire. I tested out the app for a couple of days and am waiting for an
updated version that fixes some of the issues and adds some functionality. It did turn lights
on and off which proves his code will work...it just needs to be polished up a bit when he finds
    the time.

I don't think that has nothing to do with the x10 plugin. That looks like the X10 Remote Control. Is that what you're using to control MediaPortal? If not you should remove it.

And do you know anything about the 30 seconds that the X10 plugin takes to start? :D

Ummmmm... I think that the x10Remote:Initialized command is refered to the X10_Remote.dll stored in Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\plugins\X10. We will wait to WileEcoyote and see what he says.

    Thanks and regards,

    Aitor

    Hey Guys,
As dobyken pointed out above the Firestat error is due to another plugin or part, I do not use that dll with this plugin.

As far as the 10 second start times, I will have to look at my machines to see if I am getting the same error, I will look into it.

I want to thank dobyken for all his testing/feedback. He has provided some valuble testing and great ideas for the future of this plugin.

I want to remind everyone this first version was a test to see what controllers it would work with, and it is in no way production ready. I know there are pleny of issues with it and sure, you can use it to turn lights on and off, but it is probably not for everyday (reliable) use. Please keep that in mind if you do try the plugin.... Also, unfortuantely I only speak/read english, so I cannot read error logs in any other language.

    bodiroga,
You are using a CM11 controller correct?

    @bodiroga,
You are using a CM11 controller correct?

Yes, I'm using the CM11 controller and unfortunately, before the test I've done, I can say that this plugin doesn't work with my controller. When I click on one of the modules to turn them on nothing happens and the "power on/off" picture continues in red, so it doesn't work.

Thanks for all your work WileECoyote and when you have time continue developing the plugin, I'm sure that a lot of people appreciate it ;)

    Regards,

    Aitor

PD: WileE, it takes 30 seconds to start the X10remote dll, not 10. Compare it with your computers, please.

Wile, I'll try to give whatever help I can but being one synapse short of senile I sometimes forget
things. I just had to reinstall MP 1.1 due to a problem with the TV server so whenever you have a
new installer ready let me know. I'm using the StreamedMP skin for now. Below are some of the
changes that need to be made and might require a bit of research.

    1. Determine if MP version is 1.01/1.02 or 1.1. For 1.1 skin files need to go in Documents/Settings
vs. 1.01/1.02 in Program Files path. I run MCE on my Windows7 box so I don't know if you
have to do something special for 7/Vista.
    2. Use %ProgramDir% or whatever it is rather than hard coded "Program Files\Team MediaPortal"
    to help support international users.
    3. Should not have to enter username and password to install service. Should be installed under
the system account rather than a user.
    4. Determine reason server fails to load on boot up. Since it runs if I click start I'd say there's
a dependency required that's not present at boot time.

I know nothing about the inner workings of MediaPortal so that's about all I can help with.

    Hiya gang!

My X10 switches FINALLY arrived, so I am able to test things out. Is there a readme or anything online on how to get this going?
I'm happy to give you feedback or whatever you need to get things rolling again!

    Cheers,
