No luck thus far....

I have followed the steps in the installation guide and successfully installed the service.
I also installed the plugin file and input my IP address.
I used the StreamedMP editor to load the plugin in the menu.
When I start it up, I get "missing or invalid file:" when I click into the menu item.

Any thoughts? I'm so pleased to be able to try it out!

Thanks... will report back!

I'll let you know what happens with that skin file.
Any chance of a Black & White 1080p skin?

... missing or invalid file in the StreamMP skin.

    Tophicles & harquin,
If you have copied the skin files to their respective folders, the only other issue I have found is if the service is not running it will give that error. I sure you guys have checked this, but have you run through the config & made sure the service is started?

    Service is started...

I double checked that the X10 service is started, it is. I still get the missing or invalid file error in StreamedMP skin.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong....

    Hey Tophicles,
Do me a favor and clear your logs, stop and start the service, then open MP and attempt to open the plugin. Then copy your MediaPortal.log & Error.log files here for me.

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

    As requested...

I cleared the logs, restarted the X10 service and loaded MP to test the plugin.
After the missing or invalid file error, I created the logs attached here...

Thanks for the quick replies! :)

I found this in the log...

Error initializing window:X10_Client.X10Main Unable to connect to the remote server mscorlib

Some reason the client cant connect to the server.

When you configured the plugin, did you put in the IP address or the name of the server 'mscorlib'? If you used the name, try instead the IP address and see if it can connect.

The name of my server is "MEDIA" not mscorlib (I think that references a core library from Microsoft...)
I have tried it bot with the physical IP and the 127.0.0.1 for locahost (since the X10 USB module sits on the same PC as MediaPortal)
