I am not sure this is the same problem.

Because of the long time before it occurs, difficult to reproduce.

It happens always, but you never know when.

    Hi,

Thanks for contributing, but could I ask that when you post logs, you describe the problem you observed which the logs correspond to?

Since you are not sure if you are seeing the same problem as cewillis, it is important that we know what happened in your case.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

the problem is not consistent, from my point of view.

Because I know it will happen, this afternoon I just let mediaportal run in debug mode, once changed channel, trying to provoke the problem, but that did not work (as always and as far as I know).

    In general.
Sometimes I get the screen like the one attached (from this afternoon), this seems to be the first sign something is going wrong , sometimes the video freezes completely.
Audio continues most of the time, but sometimes only quitting the mediaportal process with task manager helps me out.
Sometimes it helps getting video back by changing channels, sometimes not.
Because I am not always watching trying to get more info, I don't know if the problem gets worse in time.

I tried limiting the network speed of the mediaportal processes between client and server using netlimiter, not the same results.
I tried different codec configurations, no difference.
    Signal strength is no problem.
Processes on client and server on 'high'

For me as a 'user' mediaportal is a black box.
It can take an hour or more to emerge so it is difficult to test.
If the logs give any clue, and I can help, please let me know.

Rebooting once per day (automatically at 5:00 am) has avoided the problem -- so far.

Just thought I'd add that the above is not quite true. Every so often, even when nothing has happened since the 5:00 am reboot except the passage of time, the problem happens immediately after the first resume from standby.
I doubt this helps at all, since I have no new logs.

Is there any valid reason to think that the problem is fixed in version 1.1.1?

    Update:
This problem 'disappeared' for me a few months ago, and no recurrence of that problem for those few months.
Then last week -- It's Back!.
Same symptoms as described above -- except now it occurs after several resume/standby cycles between daily reboots.
    Maddening.
