I was using Media Portal and installed the Power Scheduler add on. Was pretty happy with it until Media Portal stopped playing well with my TV tuners so I uninstalled the app and installed Media Portal 2. Much better, only now Power Scheduler has gone rogue, randomly turning my HTPC off and on when it feels like it. Installing the add on with MP2 and tweaking the settings or disabling the add on doesn't have any effect.

For MP2 it is recommended to use Windows power management features to put the system to sleep when idle.

I have PowerScheduler set to mode "Desktop" under "General Settings" and configured Windows to sleep after 15min of idle time

Thanks, I'll give that a go. So far even disabling the add on hasn't had any effect, seems to have lost control of the system
