@D3ltoroxp for me PS++ stops a shutdown (sends PC into Away Mode) when I try to shut it down while a recording is running - that is one of the basic advantages of PS++.

Try to reproduce with logging I would say. Another thing: Depending on the remote, you might not only have a power toggle (Power), but also a PowerOn/Off. Try to configure your remote to use On/Off instead of toggle.

The Problem is that Power Scheduler will be installed in the RAM Disk and not in the MP directorys. Even with deactivated RAM Disk and altered to default Windows TEMP variables, the problem remains. I´ve made a Snapshot from the installer window.
The paths displayed are not important, because these are not the real installation paths. PowerScheduler++ copies files to the TEMP directory and then moves these files to the right directories. So it is not important where your TEMP files are located, the files are not longer needed anyway...
But I do not understand that your PS++ server plugin is not installed properly. Please do a complete uninstall and reinstall of PS++ with the tvservice stopped and see if your problem still exists.

    Hi michael_t,

I have exactly the same problem (and had it for a while). Whenever I run the PowerScheduler installer, it awalys copies the files to the Windows temp directory and doesn't move them to the MediaPortal TVServer or MediaPortal Plugins folder.

If you tell me which logs / screenshots you need, I can provide them for you!

Side note: I tried completly uninstalling the plugin, restarting the computer and installing it again, it just copied the files to the temp directory again. This also happens if I stop the TV-Service before installing the plugin!

If I copy the files manually from the temp directory everything works fine!

Same thing happens here. It's really strange why the installer doesn't move the files in the correct directory....

As I told before the files are only shortly "parked" in the TEMP folder. It's the same with ramdisk and without:
    Temp.png

But from there the files should be copied to the correct destinations. The bad thing is that the MPEI does not produce logs, so I have no idea why the installation is not working for you. There might be a permission problem on your systems, but I have no idea how to check this..

    Hi....

I've managed to install Powerscheduler++ without vanishing after a reboot...

    1. Manualy stopped the TV-Service
    2. Started MPextension installer as Admin

After the installation I've checked the directories by myself and looked that the files are in place.

Since upgrading to MP1.3 and PS++ 1.3 my HTPC no longer goes to sleep automatically.
The relevant log entries appear to be:

Why would my HDA driver be preventing Windows from sleeping?
Can anyone explain to me what this means and/or how to fix it?

Very informative reference, thanks. Just now, the HTPC actually went to sleep by itself. I wonder if complaining publicly about it embarrassed it into submission ;-). Seriously I am now more confused than ever. I will observe the behaviour further and try to apply the troubleshooting tips in the reference you provided if insomnia strikes again.

P.S. Found the troubleshooting to be too time-intensive and simply went back to having PS put the HTPC to sleep. Seems to work OK.
