Thank you for testing. To have an idea why the first test did not work I made another debugging version of PS++. Could please install and test it again?

    Michael
did the same tests as before:
    1. normal sleep wakeup, it ends unmuted
    2. press power button while recording to go to away mode and press the button again to come back to normal. This ends muted.

    Hi.
Maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to write a MP2 client plugin also? I know in future we will have MP2 own native TV solution but in present time we need MP1 TV Server also to work with MP2. As long as the MP2 client is on the same PC as the TV Server this is no Problem (add MP2 Client to Tasks preventing Standby), but if I'm on a different Machine this did not work.

Not exactly - you set MP to control the master volume, not the wave volume. Thus everything is handled by the MP volume handler which I cannot debug. Please set your volume config to "Wave" and repeat the tests.

I see your point and it is surely possible to do it. But I do not know MP2 and it will take some time to get an idea how it is working and how much changes will be necessary to implement a MP2 PS. So don't be too impatient...

    Hi,

    I use PowerScheduler++ 1.3 with MP 1.3.

I have entered the HTPC's shared drive as an active drive that should prevent Standby. So when I manually copy a movie from the HTPC to a client (to cut it) Standby should be prevented. However, when I start to copy a movie and hit the standby key on my remote control the HTPC goes to standby. This is in contrast to what happens when I'm recording a movie and hit the standby key: In this case, the HTPC stays on.

Is this normal behavior? Is there any way to change the behavior to act the same way as for what happens when recording?

    Thank you!

    Here we are:

Volume control was set to wave
First session: Sent MePo to suspend and waked it up. Result: Unmuted
Second session: Sent MePo to away mode and let it come back to normal. Result: Muted

    Hi.
It would be great to have a working MP2 client plugin. Did not need fancy config options, simply keep MP1 TV Server awake as long as the MP2 client uses it.
But I do not know MP2
I'm no dev but after that what Chefkoch and Morpheus say it should be easier to write MP2 plugins than MP1 plugins. I'm pretty sure both of them are more than willing to help you get the first steps in right direction.

It depends on your configuration. If you did not check the "Enter away mode when the user wants to put the computer to sleep" option in the shares tab your PC will go to standby when you manually force this by pressing "power off" or the standby key of your remote. If you check this option the system will override your manual "activities" if needed (which is always the case with recordings).
