This fits perfectly: On resume from away mode your HDMI audio device is not the default device (I assume that it is deactivated and there is no default audio device at all in this moment) and therefore it won't be unmuted.

I should have been more precise while writing this  . The hdmi was in both cases configured as default sound device

That was clear to me. It seems that Windows / the audio driver deactivates the HDMI audio device while the system is in away mode and in this time (during away mode) it is not the default sound device. So it does not get unmuted when away mode finishes. Some seconds after recovering from away mode it is activated again and then it becomes the default audio device again. But then it's too late... (except in the test built I sent you - in this version of PS++ unmuting is done several times with some seconds delay between - and then it works).

    Hi!
    It's me again

I have another problem- I have put my "single seat" computer in a Windows 7 homegroup and now I have "[DRIVER] \FileSystem\srvnet" requests and the machine won't go to standby.

Now there are two options to counteract this behavior:
    1. POWERCFG -REQUESTSOVERRIDE DRIVER \FileSystem\srvnet SYSTEM
    2. Activate “Allow sleep with remote opens” in Power Properties and set it to yes

Could PS++ activate “Allow sleep with remote opens” even if it is hidden?
Or could it be implemented that PS++ won't touch the setting if it is unhidden?

    What do you suggest?

    TIA,
    caveman!

PS++ does not touch this setting, so you may use it as you need. But I do not want to integrate a "Allow sleep with remote opens" option to PS++, since this is a very special case and it can be handled by configuring the Windows power settings. I do manage only those Windows Power settings in PS++ that are needed for MP to run properly.

I made a new experimental version of PS++ (1.3.0.1) which adresses your audio problem. Could you do me a favour and test it and send me the logs then?

    I did a quick check.
I should mention that I'm also testing Scythe's Area51 Build.
A recording was ongoing and I have pressed the power key twice.
It ended with a muted hdmi device.

    A second test.
MePo went to sleep and wakes up after pressing the power button
This time the PC was unmuted.

Thank you for testing. To have an idea why the first test did not work I made another debugging version of PS++. Could please install and test it again?
