Anyway - were did you see SQLite errors? As I'm using MySQL I'm a little confused.

And - appart from the errors (which occur when MP is running I would assume) - did you see anything what might have triggered a wake-up?

Markus
The SQLiteClient messages are at the end of the MediaPOrtal.log (client log). SQLite is used by the MP client to store the metadata of video, music, and pictures. MySQL is the database usee by the MP TV-Server.
What might have triggered the wakeup can usually be seen only from the Windows event log, not from MP logs.

How do I stop PowerScheduler++ 1.2.6.0 making my HTPC sleeping whilst I'm watching something via OnlineVideos? For example, I start MP and go to OnlineVideos, then play a random Sopcast link from Wiziwig. After 5 minutes, PowerScheduler++ makes the HTPC goes to sleep, presumably because it thinks it's idle. :(

This should not happen - did you enable the PS++ client plugin? If yes, please send logs of the situation so that I can have a look at it (see here how to do this).

Yes I have enabled the client plugin as well as the server plugin. Neither of them has an "extensive logging" option though.

I can't reproduce the problem right now because every Sopcast stream in OnlineVideos just gives me a "fatal error" screen. :(

I just openend a new poll thread on wether to realease the current beta version of PowerScheduler++ (1.2.6.0) as a new stable version.
The poll is now finished and I want to thank all participants, The result of the poll is clear: All 13 votes are for releasing the PowerScheduler++ beta version 1.6.0 as the new stable version of PowerScheduler++ now. This version will be named 1.2.3.0, since it is designed for the MP 1.2.3 release, but it will be compatible with all 1.2.x MP versions.

    Hi there,

    I am running 1.2.6.0 of PS++

I have a weird situation where a client of mine instantly goes to sleep once I have finished watching a video (via TVSeries).

I have a seperate TV server which hosts the videos, the client accesses these via a UNC.

The client is running W7x64 with MePo 1.2.3 with the latest PS++ (which matches the TVserver version). I have checked all the DLL versions of PS++ are correct on the client.

I am using the HTPC profile, with a timeout of 30 minutes (tried others) in Expert mode

I have tried both "Apply recommended windows power settings" and "configure manually".

I have "PS++ forces system to go to standby" disabled.

Hybrid sleep is disabled, W7 itself is configured to standby after 30 minutes.

I have attached my MePo log file. the last entry is the point it went to standby after watching the video.

    Many thanks,

    J.

As I can see from your logs, PS++ works as designed: PS++ kept the system up until the video was finished. Since you did no manual actions for more than 30 minutes, Windows says that the system is idle (video playing does not count as beeing busy). So two minutes after PS++ did not prevent standby any longer (since the video had ended), Windows put the system to sleep. I think that this would also have happened if you had played the video with the Windows Media Player instead of MediaPortal.

That doesn't sound ideal. Is there not a way that the PS++ client plugin could send an 'activity' signal whilst video is playing to reset the WIndows timer to avoid this happening?

    Hi there,

I agree with Doveman for a change ;)

Watching a video MUST class as activity!

What I have tried to do is revert to the original concept of PS, where it uses MP for activity/standby. As such I have removed the windows sleep timeout, and I'm using the "MePo forces system to sleep" option with a configured idle timeout in PS++

    I'm hoping this should work
