Hi,

I have a problem with some of my DVB-T channels, when switching to the channels I just get 1 frame and after that the picture freezes. So far I found the problem in 2 of the channels – the other channels works fine.

Cheers

Lasse

Hi,

I've now been playing around with a few video decoders. The PowerDVD decoder provides no change.
The NVIDIA works with the channels that did not work before. But now MediaPortal frezes when going to the channels that worked before.

So I'm guessing the decoder is the problem - any suggestion to other decoders I can try with?

With the old setup I get these in the logs when I switch to one of the channels that does not work
[120]Aud/Ref : 367.365, Late Compensated = 1.233 ( 0.093 A/V buffers=01/09), Clk : 1.140000, State 2
[114]Vid/Ref : 367.532, Late I-frame(02), Compensated = 1.400 ( 0.229 A/V buffers=00/09), Clk : 1.171000, State 2
[114]Vid/Ref : 367.452, Late p-frame(00), Compensated = 1.320 ( 0.117 A/V buffers=00/08), Clk : 1.203000, State 2

Are they related?

Thanks for you help.

Are these encrypted channels? Do you think the problem might be related to encryption / CAM issues?
(do you find that Free To Air channels all work fine, and encrypted channels do not)

Are the channels that cause the problem all on the same transponder frequency? Is TV server using the correct frequency?

Are you using ffdshow for audio, if so go to the Audio config\codecs, select MP1\MP2 and change the associated codec, if newer version of ffdshow tryouts select libavcodec, older version mp3lib.

    See if any better.

Might be also worthwhile disabling dxva for mpeg2 codec and see if any difference (raises cpu), thats just for testing :)

    Hi,

No - none of the channels are encrypted.
How do I identify the transponder?

Belov I have written the details for 2 working and 2 non working channels:

    Not Working:
    Channel: 10000
    Frequency: 690000
    NetworkId: 0
    TransportId: 91
    ServiceId: 401
    Bandwidth: 8 MHz
    PmtPid: 33
    Provider: Telenor

    Channel: 10000
    Frequency: 690000
    NetworkId: 0
    TransportId: 91
    ServiceId: 407
    Bandwidth: 8 MHz
    PmtPid: 38
    Provider: Telenor

    Working:
    Channel: 1
    Frequency: 834000
    NetworkId: 8400
    TransportId: 1001
    ServiceId: 101
    Bandwidth: 8 MHz
    PmtPid: 101
    Provider: DR

    Channel: 4
    Frequency: 834000
    NetworkId: 8400
    TransportId: 1001
    ServiceId: 217
    Bandwidth: 8 MHz
    PmtPid: 2101
    Provider: TV2

I have contacted the provider (COM-X) for the frequecies, but they do not wish to supply them.

I'm happy for you that the problem is fixed. However, it seems strange that the some channels were affected by the codec problem, but others were not.
Anyway, I hope the problem is fixed permanently.

Should of explained more, some channels are transmitted dual mono, this can cause the issue that ltb76 saw, whole heartedly recommend anyone who use's ffdshow to upgrade to latest ffshow tryouts and for MP1\MP2 select libavcodec, or if using AC3filiter need to enable mpeg support.

Both have the same result :)
